Yeah totally agree, the Jack Thompson bit bored me to tears cause he just didn't know what to do or say.
I think it's his hand gestures, he doesn't seem to know what to do with them, so they are always flapping about like a bird trying to take flight!

I was embarrassed watching that, was not good at all.  Undecided

I thought Jack Thomson had spent too much time in the green room ... drink
Normally he's a bit more articulate than that.

The GPS story was shit. I've worked in the Kimberleys and there's so much you could do. We used to hire landcruzers in the wet season and turn them into submerines trying to cross rivers etc. We'd race them up hills so rocky and steep that you'd couldn't believe how far they go. We discovered along the way that 'hired' cruzers always went further, harder and longer than the ones someone owned! I think this was because you'd return it in a couple of days and just say you got stuck in the mud or something like that. waytogo waytogo

The country is so unbelievably ruggered up there that they should have been doing real offroad testing not comparing a guided horse with a GPS. What about rounding up cattle with choppers and vechiles with bull catchers on them. The producers had a shocker thinking that'd make a good storey. What in the world was that trying to prove.

Uh-oh ... what's going on here?

I think that W427 Holden is a bit of a wimp!
375 Keelowatts (in Steve speak) and $150k
All it can manage is 250klm/h on the oval.

Hell my little 620 is pushing 200+ at the Creek, and it's nowhere near $150k's worth of kit.

I believe the W427 is electronically limited to 250 ... probably conveniently, I don't know how much quicker it would go - considering the way the antenna was bouncing around the thing might start to come apart.

Betty will only do 110km/h tops, might explain why I can't keep up with you people on your high powered 620s.

The bowling was really hard for me to watch - something about doing thousands of dollars damage to (brand new) nothing little cars for a couple of laughs makes me feel a bit uneasy. The problem is there was no real skill shown in what they were doing ... at least with the football version the guys were actually driving.

The guests are proving pretty hit and miss - I think Julia had the right idea ... don't let Charlie speak. Colosimo must be spewin' big time about his piss poor effort in the car.

Minor threadjack continues.....
Yeah, a 'mate' of mine has a 620 sport that will do 210 km/h pretty easily Wink. Having a fairing to tuck behind helps in top speed waytogo umm...allegedly....

Yes ptooey, umm, theoretically, a long flat straight about 2km long, with really good visibility. Quite close to where I live, actually. As I said, I think the fairing on the sport and the crouch-down-making-my-wrists-hurt-all-the-bloody-time riding position help. Allegedly....threadjack ends  Smiley

hey gang, sorry to chime in sooo late.

but you know... opinion everyone's got one! and me too.

TGAu.. what can I say is that it reminds me very much of early Top Gear and I mean well before hammond/may too.
So i guess its such a copy that they even started similarly. I just wish they have hotter chicks in the audience. - Chris
