I'm not sure what to think.
In it's own right it wasn't a bad show ... but ... it's still a copy ... and it's just ... wrong

Excellent production values, fast paced, good editing.
I know Warren Brown and that's pretty much him.
The other two are okay, I'm sure Charlie is playing a bit of a "wanker" character.
I think the Top Gear track needs to be upgraded it looks pretty cheapo.
I'm going to a taping next Tuesday 7th, so I'll let you know what the studio experience is like.

Didn't mind it, good to see some local cars compared.
instead of the euro types.
I heard somwhere the test track is at Camden airport.

For sure it's Camden, look at the wide open spaces in the shots.
I am going to Bankstown Airport for filing though.

Yeah, Warren stood out, he's a natural, not so sure about the old guy.
I felt it was a bit cheesy in places, trying abiyt too hard to be the same, an aussies Stig is just wrong.

Interesting you mention the production values Matty, I said to the Boss I reckon that will be its undoing - would have thought the production costs might get a bit high for their little market. The presenters aren't as slick and polished as the poms so I reckon people will find it hard to adjust ... it was these things which drew in 'non-motoring' people to the pommy version. If you look back at some of the originals, the aussie version is a mix of the old and new.
At least I may have a chance of recognising some of the 'stars' which is often hard for an uncultured coastie with the pommy version.
The track seemed a bit tight for Aussie Stig, he (assuming it is a he) seems slow on screen but is shown to be working pretty hard - I reckon the track is a tough one.

To sum it up,
Same show different hosts.
Oh and cars (some of them anyway!)
Who would pay a mill for that Maybach?

they were right about the Maybach - what a joke!
wish they showed a back end shot of the Lamborghini too. A rear end is very important.
I could use that Lotus as a powered roller skate for my foot. It's THAT small.

What about the Proton Satria as the bog standard car? I would have thought a car most people had actually heard of would have been an idea ... perhaps a Corolla, most Aussies could relate first hand to that.
Didn't mind the 'what were they thinking segment' ... but they stuffed up with the Lightburn Zeta. I'd love to have the the Sport (which they showed) at one stage I had a weird obsession with the Runabout. The Runabout has the same, as fast forward as it is in reverse, feature but is powered by a monstrous 324cc engine (as opposed to 500 in the Sport) in a far less aerodynamic body ... a body which even Harold Lightburn himself would struggle to love.

I am going to hold judgment TGAu. I don't like it's chances though, like Betty said they will need to spend a lot of money to keep a relatively small market watching.
The thing that pisses me off is that now they don't seem to show the UK Top Gear anymore.
Oh well, back to the internetz for TV.
