Cool custom Ducati by Lazareth
«

I went to the Italian Motofest this weekend in Shepherdstown, WV. The attendance was low b/c of rain in the morning. However there was one bike that made the trip worth while. This bike was the highlight of the show for me. It is a customized Super Sport 1000 DS. The builder was Lazareth of France.
If you want to see a few more of the bikes that were at the show then follow this link:

I like it a lot.
With the exception of those cans.
I think it'd look better with a set that were a little less... enormous.
I'm diggin' those fenders. Are the two colors just paint, or are they two different materials?

A friend does machine work for Lazareth -- it came in awhile ago via rumours. Never could confirm though. Work is supposedly "top notch" from friends who have seen / worked on it overseas. I'm personally glad to see another "quality built" custom Ducati project here in the states.
As for a set of my BoomTubes and the above? Thanks for the compliment. Hopefully the owner just rides and enjoys it and shows it to inspire more Ducati creations from enthusiasts in the future.

have to agree with rameses... those cans ruin it for me. besides the look, might be hard to see the brake light as well. other than the exhaust, pretty darn cool though...

That is two different materials on the fender. I assume the red parts are plastic. The black was carbon fiber.

I definitely thought the work was "top notch". The billet belt covers and billet triple trees were impressive. The owner was a Frenchman working in the U.S. who knows Lazareth (I'm not sure if Lazareth is a person or the company name). He bought the bike here, had it shipped to Lazareth for the work and then it was shipped back. The owner was a really nice guy for putting up with my questions.
As for the size of the pipes. I agree they may be a little big for some. They definitely were a big part of the look of the bike. In person they didn't look so big. They actually seem to make the bike look smaller. The whole bike was definitely tiny looking. I saw the bike ride past me on the way to the show and the pipes seemed very impressive with the rider on it blasting past. This is what I saw:

Very cool, that's what I was hoping.
