Sorry guys, just not doing it for me. Respect the time and skills though

That is my neighbors bike. I was just drooling over it about an hour ago.

This bike was for sale at DucPond for the past year or so. Did it sell or did the owner keep it?

After talking with his wife, it sounds like
they
decided to keep it. Lots of design collaberation/special ordering of parts and time when into building the bike and they decided that it's something that they should always have.
I knew that he had it at the Duc Pond for a while for some tuning but I didn't realize that it was for sale. Good thing for him because it may very well have ended up in my garage!!

sorry the SS is one of my fav bikes. to see one chopped apart for that... yeah a sad end.
You know this is a later model, post 98, right?
I love Ducatis, but the 99-04 SS bikes were... well.. less than beautiful.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

True, but the guy had some new info. He needed to let us all know that he had been drooling all over it.

Sorry for digging up this old thread with my new info. I was just surprised to see my neighbors bike here and also surprised to read all the criticisms.
I am positive that anyone of the folks who had bad things to say about this bike would change their tune if they were checking it out in person.
