Tomorrow I will find myself in Sydney for work and flying out on Thursday.

As many of you live in Sydney, what would you suggest to entertain an "out of town-er" on a Wed night. (within reason). drink

During the day I'll defn check out the coffee at Mecca which I've heard so much about. coffee

techno, I don't know your age or even what you like, but here a tip or three...

a) Goodbar, Argile Stores, and the Ivy have industry nights on Wednesday's. So you can go check out the "local talent" and sample  drink.

b) The Rocks has always something on, so do a bit of a look/see and you will be suprised what you can find, a bit of live music is not unheard off.

c) A cheap harbour cruise aka, Ferry to from Circular Quay to Manly is cool, city and harbour look really different at night. So its a few small $$'s spent well, grab a bite in Manly, head back to circular quay.

d) If your a walker, you can walk the bridge at any time, free. When I say walk i mean the lower pedestrian path... not the arc  Grin

e) You could sample night life in Kings Cross and see what the fuss is about, Dancers Cabare, Hugos, Saphire Lounge are some names that could come up...

f) im sure some of us DMF'rs could ride to meet up and have a chat over a  coffee somewere?? - Chris

Thanks guys.

I'll check the thread again tomorrow. BTW I'm the wrong side of 40 (only just) so I'd probably look out of place clubbin'

I'd be interested in the odd  drink but up early for work on Thurs so not a big one.

I just thought if there was a regular gathering I could check out some of the bikes I have heard about on here.

Spider, your trying to lead me astray. I may be from Tassie but I'm not that green. I've seen the parade. Shocked

I can say that I've been to Mecca to sample the coffee. Very smooth. I was sitting outside working between 10 and 11 this morning. Actually got a bit done before some dude beside me wouldn't stop chain smoking so I had to decamp. Saw a red monster with high mount termi's doing the block. Anyone here cruise past this morning?

I'm now at a corp coffee place (for the free internet) waiting until I can get into my hotel room.

Makes sense, seems that Spider didn't know if he was Arthur or Martha last time he was up there....... (or whether he was comming or going?)
