This would be for the blown 77 Celica I've been working on for months.

Im at the point where I can actually hook up the go pedal to the crazy looking Weber DCOE carb hanging off the side of the crazy looking supercharger this engine has.

The stock setup does not have a cable, but uses push rods.  We like the look and will retain that setup.  I have the rod ends sourced and I have the rods themselves sourced.

I can't find bell cranks.

I need to transmit motion from a left/right direction (across the firewall from one side of the car to the other) to a front to back motion and would like to use a bell crank to accomplish this (think rc car steering)

I need something that's aluminum, has a bearing in it for smoothness and will accept a 1/4-28 thread.

I can't find them!

Anyone have any ideas?

I already Googled, and scoured McMaster Carr

Summit Racing?

Or check superchargermanufacturers (like Blower Drive Service, etc.) since they often carry weird stuff for carbs that have to be turned sideways to fit.

Or just design and make your own.  [thumbsup]

Screw all that.

Send me some basic dimensions, or better yet, send pics. I'll either design up what you need, or, unless I'm *very* mistaken, I suspect I already have a spare linkage that'll do what you want laying around.

Well, these might be tough to design and get it right on the first crack.

I need two, and the one is easy.  Just a 90 angle with a pivot in the middle.

The second one needs to transmit motion from 0* to about 45-60*

Now that I think of it, that shouldn't be too hard either, as long as the connections are both the same distance from the pivot the travel should be 1:1

Ill check aircraft spruce, great idea [thumupsup]

SG Ill keep you in mind if all else fails [thumbsup]

Update - we got a hand full of the bell cranks in the above link.  I built brackets to support them and have everything connected up with some home made tie rods (for mock up purposes)

Push the pedal, carb opens up!  It's kind of cool to see all these rods and things moving to work the throttle.

Thanks for the idea Speedbag!
