My buddy has been talking about building a bed for his son (my godson) for about a year... We finally got started about a month ago... He provided the inspiration, the Formula Ford wheels and tires, some help with the bondo and sanding, and lots of guidance. But after that, I admit, I got a little carried away  ;D

Our inspiration... the 1972 McLaren M20 Can-Am racecar...



How it all came together...

that is a properly well done job.  Nice mate.


Funny thing, I know the owner(s) of the #5 can-am car you had in that photo (1972 McLaren M20).  It is a father and son, I know the son.  He also owns a #4 McLaren can-am car, but it is a different body (1967 M6A).  I'm going to forward your photos to him.  I'll let you know his response.
