G'day All.

I have had a Termi/DP ECU/Air filter Kit fitted to my bike for about a month now, and after many attempts at trying to get it right, It is still running like shit and not working correctly

EDIT:
I am going to lock this Topic, it was written when I wasn't thinking straight due to Anger, Depression (I was diagnosed about 4 years ago) and fatigue.

I need to get this all sorted, but I'll give dealer a chance to fix it, as they have been overall very good to deal with, the new computer was supposedly sent via air freight yesterday (Wed) And the make the beast with two backsups and blunders are mainly due to NFI getting the information and part numbers wrong.

I must stress the dealer has been overall very good and worked very hard to sort this out, considering they have been trying to sort this out with wrong information from NFI, they are only a small shop.
And no, the dealer did not ask me to write this (he wouldn't even know it was here), I need sleep to clear my head and try to look at this from a new perspective tomorrow.

How bad is it running? You've got a week off you say - 4000km is only a few days serious riding  Evil

big (avoiding the opportunity to rant again about the appropriateness of the usual expansion of NFI...)

unfortunately, the fact your ecu was nil stock australia and had to be ordered from italy means it was back ordered, and anything that has been back ordered from NFI automatically goes road freight. only the daily order stuff is sent air freight.
go on, ask me how i know!!!!!!!!!!
what's curious to me is that your bike has had two d/p ecu's fitted and they're both faulty. there's something awry there, or it's a hell of a coincidence.
i can certainly understand your frustration, but, you have previously raved about the dealer you use, so considering your previous good experiences with them how about giving them the opportunity to sort the situation fully before venting about what is obviously a shitty situation they're in the middle of trying to sort for you.

Paul is wise. Listen to him. Something is fishy. I was told by an authorised Ducatiu mechanic that my DP ECU was faulty and decided I needed a 2nd opinion (didn't know the mechanic) and did some research. Faulty ECU's are rare as hen's teeth (as long as the part no. matches the system) so the idea of 2 being faulty is well....long odds.

I had the same situation, 'faulty' ecu, burping, farting, coughing, loss of response (Like being married to a man I imagine!) and a torque curve that suddenly had holes in it.

Brad Black hooked it up, analysed the gas, but the scary thing was that within one minute of it being on the rack he noted the throttle position sensor was completely incorrect (and not by a little!)...and she know runs better than ever (with the 'faulty' ecu still in there). Brad doesn't have a Ducati Diagnostic System to plug the bike into, instead he has a brain....I know which system worked for my bike.

hey, funny story...

I once asked a Ducati employee in he knew what NFI stood for. After he called them NFI imports....

He seriously responded with "I've no idea"

I said "your 2/3rds correct there!" and walked away.   Grin
