So a while back I purchased a very sad looking Monster. It's a 1999 M750 that appears to have had a rough life. I'll let the pics speak for themselves.  [moto]

THEN  Sad

NOW!! waytogo

Things are looking up for this little bike.  chug    The tank will be ready tomorrow and some other parts will be coming in soon!  Grin

Its really nice man. I cant wait to see the tank! what color did you go with or is that a surprise?

You should run a shelter for abused and battered monsters.

Thanks guys. I'm looking forward to having this bike finished. I don't want to mislead anyone, so just know it's not me that's putting this bike together. I have an extremely talented mechanic working on it. My only role here is sourcing parts out, contracting out the powder coating and of course putting up the $$$ for the job.  Grin

List of goodies is as follows:
1. 2004 GSXR 1000 Front forks and calipers
2. Paul Smart Spoked Wheels
3. Cycle Cat black anodized top triple
4. '03 Yamaha R1 50mm Clipons with radial front brake master cylinder
5. Powdercoating to frame, lower triple, valve covers, chain adjuster plates, and alternator cover all in satin gold. The engine case covers, swingarm, hoop and headlight U-bracket are all in gloss black.

Parts en route now:
1. New headlight
2. Pazzo levers
3. new turn signals with billet al. housing
4. Acewell speedo with integrated tach and idiot lights
5. reverse shift lever
6. brake lever
7. black anodized foot pegs
8. 41t rear aluminum Stealth rear sprocket
9. Gold 520 DID chain
10. STM engine case breather filter
11. Black Speigler brake lines

Items still needing to be ordered:
1. Megaphone style exhaust cans (not sure which yet  Huh?)
2. Front fender (not sure I want one)
3. Aluminum stamped Ducati gas tank badges

Wish List:
1. Cafe Racer style rear cowl *cough* *cough * Chipo *cough* *cough*
2. Custom 2 into 1 super duper megaphone exhaust. *cough* *cough* Paul *cough* *cough*
 Grin

Lorenzo, now that you mention it, I think the tank color will be a surprise.  Wink

Wow!

I guess I should stop pregnant doging about the money and time I've dumped into my '97 M750.  Great stuff.  We need to ride our reborn bikes together someday.

Cheers.

C'mon slacker!! Make that thing already.

Thanks for the compliments peeps! I got a few parts in today. Saw the boxes when I got home from work and did this once I opened them up.

Here's one of the parts.  waytogo
