No weapon was seen according the the post. Somehow I doubt it would even make a blip on a police radar.....

he goes into his middle draw. Looks like his hand is trying to reach for a gun.
I see it. I back the bike up and watch him. He taks his left hand outside and says
What did he see
I guess he saw someone reaching for a possible weapon.
I agree with you if I saw no weapon whats the point really to report it. I would prob do it anyways just for the slim chance they check up on him and find out he is a douchebag

so...he got closer to you than you'd like without hitting you...you see him again and get aggressive with him, and then post in an internationally public forum that if he had gotten out of the car you would have killed him...which we can likely read as at the very least attempt to prevail in a physical altercation if not litterally kill him.
The guy didn't even make you actually change how you used any control of your bike. no swerve, no brake, no throttle.
nice.
some people make their own 'luck.'
There is allways someone stronger, faster, better trained. You will not get much sympathy when one day you do this and someone quietly gets out and just beats you into the ground without breaking a sweat...maybe even just with one hand....maybe even twice your age. Then he'll go online somewhere and talk about some hyped up young biker who started talking trash at a light for no reason (his perspective remember) so he taught you a lesson in manners.

He went to unbukle his seat belt, and then reached over to the passenger dash draw (whatever you wanan call it) and start fiddling with it trying to get it open. he had tinted windows, and I was right behind his door looking though the rear passenger window.
I backed of at this point and he rolled down his window, took his left hand out and started mouthing of at me and i could see behind the window he had his right hand holding something.
I assume it to be a gun since he was keeping it conceled. Its not like your gonna mace me 15 feet away, or throw a knife at me. He kept saying shit to me. You tell me what the hell he was holding cause im not gonna get in some dudes face when hes hiding something thats clearly a weapon.
I dont have his plate number, my friend does though. He said just let it go, and thats what im trying to do. If i told a cop, he would defintely go after him. Cops have nothing better to do but start shit anyway. this is just meaty action that they wanna go after.
I went for a ride today, and its funny cause me and my buddies ended up meeting a ZX-10 rider who was a corrections officer and we sat for over an hour just shooting shit. and when this was going on, one of his stories rang in my head. He said, there are career criminals that do not give a shit what happens. They will break the law and see jail sentence as unemployment. Then there are those who know they did wrong and are humble.
Statler, although i agree with pretty much everything you said. You PICK the fights, i am strong enough, fast enough, and well trained enough to defend myself from the dude. I specificly stood on his quater panel to eye him before i said anything. It was a fight I was willing to pick until he decided to reach for something. Shit like this happens everyday to me. People that I have shurg off included a new BMW full of dudes who look like they would gang up on me and beat my ass and if i flipped them of, they would try to run me over.
Another time a dude cut 2 lanes to try and hit me. made me swerve 2 lanes over and he ends up 2 feet from me and i backed of. He took the next exit which was my exit to., i get up behind him to remember his plate and he just guns it. What do I do then? I saw him, hes a scrawny ass dude, whos got 1 foot on me. I train with dudes 1 foot taller than me and faster than me. Point is, you pick the fights you are willing to commit to.

Man charged in road-rage attack
Oakland Tribune, Oct 13, 2006 by Ben Aguirre Jr., STAFF WRITER
FREMONT -- A 27-year-old Union City man was charged Thursday with two felonies in connection with the road-rage-fueled beating of a motorcyclist last week.
Wearing yellow county jail garb and standing about 6 feet 6 inches tall, Marquez Lemoan Ologbosele towered over two court marshals at the Fremont Hall of Justice as he was arraigned on charges of battery causing serious injury and assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury.
He was being held at Santa Rita county jail in Dublin in lieu of $80,000 bail and is expected to return to court today.
Ologbosele, a former Oakland resident who recently moved to the Tri-City area, turned himself in to Union City police Tuesday evening after authorities obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Police identified Ologbosele as a suspect in the Oct. 5 hit-and- run case in Union City in which a 53-year-old motorcyclist was hospitalized after being beaten following a traffic collision, police said.
Ologbosele was thought to be involved because he owned the Buick LeSabre that was seen leaving the scene of the crash and he matched the description of the assailant, police said.
According to witnesses, the victim, also a Union City resident, was riding his motorcycle north on Mission Boulevard about 5:30 p.m. when he approached Decoto Road, where traffic was stopped because of a red light.
With cars not moving, the motorcycle split lanes -- which police think may have upset the attacker -- to get to the front of traffic. When the light turned green, a teal Buick LeSabre intentionally rammed the motorcycle, police said.
The two vehicles then pulled to the shoulder of the road, and the driver of the LeSabre got out of his car and attacked the motorcyclist, who had dismounted to speak with the car's driver. The attacker knocked the cyclist to the ground and kicked him in the face, then picked him up and dumped him in a nearby flood control ditch before fleeing, police said.
The victim was taken to St. Rose Hospital in Hayward and underwent two surgeries as a result of the beating. He was released from the hospital earlier this week

I think you are missing the point entirely... These people are not out to get you! You may take it personal when they "almost" hit you or cut you off, BUT that is the risk you take when riding a motorcycle. It isn't personal, unless you ride like an asshole and instigate and antagonize them, you have to just let it slide. Most people don't realize what they have done could have potentialy ended your life.
For example - this weekend there was a huge Duc rally in NorCal. Some crazy poured oil across both lanes because they dont like bikers. A bunch of people crashed and luckily noone was killed. I doubt the person's intentions were to
kill
motorcyclists, probably only to make them crash, but it could have happend. Riding all amp'd up like you are about to fight someone is a good way to crash your bike.
Do you honestly think you can size someone up while they are sitting in a car and determine that you can kick their ass? That seems like a little bit of over confidence or ignorance. Maybe you haven't been in enough street fights to realize that training in a gym is SO much different than fighting in the street. What if he didnt pull his gun out until after you pulled a karate kid on his ass, and he still shoots you. Fighting strangers for any reason other than to protect yourself or a loved one is make the beast with two backsing stupid. Like Statler said there is always someone... try not finding out who that is.
Come check out the west coast, it is so much less hostile out here. (and there are WAY better MMA gyms)

Even with a CCW you can't threaten people with a gun. You can however draw your weapon and prepare to defend yourself to what you perceive is a threat. Like some out of control motorcyclist that insists on confronting you.
And no the answer to everything is not "report their plate to the police". Report it then and there. If safe follow them so the police can stop them. If you don't do that it never happened and your call to the police is a waste of time.

Like I said. And then what? So they find out he's a douchbag. What did he do? No one saw a weapon, no weapon was brandished, no one was shot. Nothing happened.

The day you are lying on the ground bleeding out you will realize that traffic violation you chased the guy down for really wasn't worth it. You may even remember the story the corrections guy told you and think, "Oh, that's what the story meant."
And the part of your post detailing your ignorant take on police work is a violation of the board rules.

I think you are missing the point entirely... These people are not out to get you!
Right so, can you explain why the dude was 2 feet from my rear, and according to my friend, he was on me for about a minute. Did you accidentally come up on me and forget to take the foot of the pedal? When I was all the way on the right of the lane, was it really neccisary to pass me (abiet right next to me) on an open highway? PLEASE, I beg of you sir, to enlighten me. Why do you believe he was not out to get me if he was doing that?
If you need more information to how I was riding. I finished a 6 hour ride with my buddies and wanted to cruise home. I didn't even know he was behind me until he ran pass me because i kept a constant speed just cruising. Was I riding in an assholish behavior? I don't think so. So again, please enlighten me because I am so ignorant.
There is absolutely nothing that justify that type of action other then your intent to hurt someone. Here's another one. Another(since we are being picky, lets just say it was a Chevy Impala with woop woop lights) wouldn't let me lane merge and gunned it every time I try to merge in front of him (i tried to merge twice). Yes I hand signaled. Yes, i waited to see if he would let me. What id he do? when i began getting hte bike over, he guns it when im almost in the lane. He then turns on his siren to tries and pull me over. No, im not pulling over after you tried to run me over.
Was he out to get me? Yes. Because you could of just sped up when i stuck my hand out to say no.
Heres yet another one (not mine by a friend) A dude got pissed of for reason I dont know. He cuts the bike of and prevents him from passing him. When he finnaly gets an open spot he guns it, the car rams him into the divider. He didnt go down, managed to keep the bike up, and go after him. A guy behind him was calling 911 and telling him everything as it happened. they ended up getting 8 cop cars on him and chased him for 10 miles. you wanna know what the guy said when he got stoped by the cops?
"He had gear on, he wouldn't of gotten hurt."
Shit like this happens EVERYDAY. Now you may or may not want to believe it. You may already think I am ignorant, and all i'm doing is blowing up stories out of what they really seem to be. But until you lived here and develop the mindset of what people are like (and i guess live through years of being racial put down, and get picked on by punks who think, just because they can, they will) your opinion is ignorant to me.
And honestly, for anyone to say that they cant size someone up is complete BS. And FYI, yes i have been in plenty of street fights. You forget or really, you just don't know I am Chinese living in Spanish neighborhood getting picked on at a young age. I get racial outs by every make the beast with two backsing group in the whole world and by high school I got sick of it and fought back over and over and over again. Is that enough street fighting exp points? or have I failed to meet your critera of giving the dude the benefit of the doubt? You can still call me ignorant or whatever you like. I already admitted that I'm not willing to pick fights i cant win.
someguy, the driver rammed the motorcyclist of the road. Even if the dude was 10 feet taller than me and looked like he could whup my ass, i would of gotten up to atleast try and get his plate and called the cops. I mean seriously, someone that size is comming after you, id run my ass of and hope he gets tired before i do. But the driver (from the description is one big ass mother make the beast with two backser) just went ape shit on him and threw the guy in a ditch. Are you trying to say i'd fight anyone id see? Cause i already said im not gonna get myself into shit that i cant control. So I dont see your point.
When stuff like this happens to you every day, and you can shrug it off.
Bravo. you're a better man then I am cause i cant shrug off everything.
If the situation flipped and he got out of his car cause he didnt like the fact that i passed him, and i started mouthing of to him, and he beat my ass, many of you would of said "You deserved it for riding like a d-bag". Its the the same thing.
Yes, i could of just not said anything. Yes i could of just shrug it off. Yes, what I did was probably not smart. But I did it anyway. Sue me, we all have an innate feeling to bust out the whip stick when we are wronged, i chose this one to act on. so I am ignorant because i thought i could beat his ass. I know what I did. And i think i wasn't ignorant enough to back of and not agitate the situation even more. (okay so i may have by screaming what).
one last note. hbliam.. im not gonna chase a guy who performed a traffic violation. If thats your way of seeing it. I'm sorry. Its the guy whos doing something STUPID (let me reiterate it, he was tailing me at highway speeds, ahem, 2 feet from me, on an open highway, and according to you, didnt even know he was doing it) to purposefully endanger my life. not some, oh he didnt see me and almost cliped me. Thats just a driver being a bad driver, and i always let them go because its not worth it.
I'm done with this situation, this one is behind me, and I'm going back out there to fight thru NYC traffic again. No more stories for you folks.

No, CCW holders are less likely to get into trouble. They are statistically more responsible.

When stuff like this happens to you everyday you need to take a long hard look at yourself. I ride everyday in Southern California and rarely have an incident because I am aware of my surroundings. I also have learned to let stuff go. The idiot who passed too close to you? He passed. That means he's gone if you let him be gone. Call him an asshole in your helmet and let it go because it's just not worth it.

In regards of gun responsibility only.
My context is, NYC is NOT a gun friendly state and havign a CCW is frowned upon. Aka even if you do have a CCW, you are likely to get caught up in a legal battle with it then without it.

Oh where to start?
This sounds like another thread and it would be in the political section, so even though you seem to not know too much about how many CCW's are floating around NY I'm just gonna let this go.

Gun friendly city vs the # of CCWs in NY are two different issues. That and the # of CCWs in NY and NYC are two different issues in itself.
you wanna throw all your smart ass remarks? PM me and ill gladly talk to you regarding CCWs. But believe me before you start clicking PMs, you don't even know what I'm saying, all you are doing is picking out statements and looking for an argument.
Oh and before you PM me about the CCW issue, please do PM the answer to my question regarding this statement.
