thx guys
i actually did it a different way than the film that can be peeled off

go to a hobby store, and get a spraycan of yellow window tinting spray, take the glass off the light, and spray it inside, so the glass is used as one thick clearcoat.  the cool thing is that you can put as many layers as you want and make it almost any color (dont know what other color u would want anyways) you want, or as light or dark as u like.
ive ridden all day and heat doesnt affect it at all...and no chips can happen to it, so ther is that option too.
btw, can of spray is like 8-9 bux, and you can paint a whole bike with it how much there is

ooo and also if you want to remove it, quick spray of googone left there for 5 seconds, takes it RIGHT off and i mean right off as if it was dust, so easy on and easy off if u wanna take it off for any reason.

post up a pic, and hope to see u riding around Chi man
(btw, just saw ur site, i was at the Hunnert pileup as well, freggin hot as hell that day...)

It was friggin hot as hell that day, but still a good time none the less.
Their were 4 cases of heat stroke and one dude had a heart attack.
We got my 55 Bel-Air in the show, and the rest of the day = chug

yellow foglights are big with the subaru impreza/rally fans.

try lamin-x.  nice thick protective film.  some leo's might not approve but YMMV.

www.lamin-x.com

and a little blurb from pop. mech.

Q: I bought some yellow headlights for my vehicle. I believe they help me see better at night, especially when it rains. I live in Washington state, the land of rain and fog. However, one of my friends who has the same yellow lights has been pulled over by local authorities and warned to remove the yellow lights. If we can have yellow foglights, why can't we have yellow headlights?

A: The federal Department of Transportation, which sets all motor vehicle regulations, requires that all new cars sold in the United States have white headlights. It does not prohibit you from changing them on your own. However, state motor vehicle ordinances almost always prohibit using any colored headlamps on the road. Only the French persisted in requiring yellow headlamps, at least until they joined the European Union and standardized their traffic laws to match the rest of Europe.

i will have to go look in garage what brand it is if i still have that can

Dang, I took apart my headlight and found that the lens doesn't come apart by itself. In other words, the lens and reflector (the back part of the headlight) is one piece.
