This is turning out to be the dearly departed cat thread.
We've all lost furry family. It definitely hurts. My condolences to Diva and Rob.
On the flip side,
We've had our kitten, Liwa, for two weeks now. I had forgotten that having a kitten is a full time job! Liwa has two speeds, off, and "Oooooh, shiny, ATTACK!". She eats MORE than our two full grown cats combined, and has more energy than both of them, and the two of us all put together. She has absolutely no fear, and no conception of the word "no".
Her favorite food is yours.
She will climb anything, put her nose anywhere, and I even watched her chase one of the full grown cats around the house at full speed the other day. They made three full high speed circuits of the house before the other cat stopped, turned, and WHACK! sent Liwa ass over teakettle. The only trash can she hasn't explored yet is the one in our kitchen, which has a flip top lid on it. At the rate she is growing, I fully expect to hear that trash can start meowing sometime next week, probably Tuesday.
She firmly believes in the value of communication, and will climb up you and tell you all about her day, how she reformatted the computer (again), the fact that it is time to clean the litterbox, and what she wants for dinner, at full volume, repeatedly. She wil then proceed down to your feet and untie your shoes.
Just when you begin to consider Kittycide, she will climb up onto your shoulder, rub against your face, and begin to serenade you with a purr so loud and vigorous, you begin to wonder how such a small animal ever managed to swallow a Harley Davidson motorcycle. She will then fall asleep on your shoulder, and melt your heart with repeated applications of kitten breath against your cheek.
