Alright, so I'm from the Seattle area and know of all the cool shops around there but my brother lives in Westernville neer Rome, NY and he's looking into getting a Ducati but the closest shop to him seems to be in NYC. He doesn't want to have to go into the city to take care of services and so on. Does he have no other option? I mean, I see the list of shops provided here but is there no place closer that sells + services Ducs?  ???

This is as close as he will get, a lot closer than NYC.

and a nice ride, if you go down through Skaneateles and around the finger lakes. Nice rolling hills.

A big-time plug for Joe T. and his shop, Supermoto Italia, St. James (Long Island). Authorized dealer, a rider (former racer) and they do excellent, no-BS work.
Nobody said that I did. Everyone says that I would.

I live in Albany, New York.  There is a dealer in Albany, Phibbs' power sports, however I wouldnt purchase a keychain there, if they were giving them away.  I took my S4 there when I first purchased it and had a bad experience, when a service qoute was doubled when I went to pick up the bike.  The manager tried to hold my S4 hostage... bad move guy.  I ended up paying the qouted price after much arguing and a call to the Ducati regional rep.  Not only did they double the 6k service qoute, they overlooked a laundry list of repairs, which if spotted then would have fallen under NYS lemon law.  I hear there is also a dealer in Fulton, NY, but I have never been.  I choose Cliffs Cycle Revolution in Brookfield, CT.  Cliffs place is a model of what every dealer should strive for.  Basically the people in the shop make the difference, and the staff at Cliffs are some of the most knowledgable, friendly people, who just care about riding ducs and keeping you as a happy customer.  Visit: cliffscyclerevoluction.com and see for yourself.  BTW it takes me about 2 hours to get there, but the ride is awesome and I look forward to my services.  Cliffs has a nice lounge with refreshments, computer access, tv, historical and new bikes everywhere to look at.  So Cliffs picked up where Phibbs fell flat on their face.  I was initially upset about the lemon law thing and having to fork out thousands to get this bike in shape, but the people at Cliffs really worked with me and turned the whole experience around.  They also give a winter service discount.  Even when there was a problem, they called me to pick the bike up but forgot to fix a brake light switch.  They had to order the part so I left the bike and drove home.  Once the part came in, they changed it out, and shipped my bike to me inside their box truck, saving me the second trip to pick it up and trailering my bike through the snow and road salt.  It also happened to be Christmas weekend.

I can highly recommend Trebour Motorcycles in Ledgewood, NJ. Whether it's Henry in Sales, Joe in Service or Justin in Parts, each one have made buying, owning and maintaining my M696 easy and enjoyable.

No, no refunds for difference.  I only found out what Phibbs had missed at my next service, a few months later...  Too late to really take any other action.  In the end I found a better service dept. (Cliffs) to deal with and just wanted to get my bike in shape and hit the road.
