found this on my daily local craigslist search, wasnt sure if it was a craigslist crack addict or not based on the price/condition...

he makes no mention of it being a foggy, but i'm pretty sure it is.

any thoughts?  anyone want it?  should i buy it?  drink

glad I asked - between the decals and all the carbon, termis, etc. i wasn't sure.  I may still take a look, but I feel like the price is a little steep for a bike that's not in perfect condition...What's the possibility of doing a sss conversion on that thing?  will an S*R rear end bolt up or is it a headache?  It's def got potential if the price is right, and I can bring myself to sell the evo  Huh?

side note: Magnus, where are you at?  It's not too far from me either, and I'm in Summit.  group ride? chug

sss conversion is possible, but not a bolt on by any means....  you'd have to relocate the upper pivot and possibly machine the cases depending on which sss you were using.  mine has a 996 sss, and took both of those mods to make it work.

i'm in morristown, so yeah, i'm up for it  drink

i can't believe i haven't seen that bike bike of yours around - i'm in motown all the time, actually lookin for a place there with my lady.

sounds like that sss conversion would be more work than its worth, and by the time i'd finished upgrading it to be anything close to the evo in terms of suspension and whatever, probably I'd be into it for just as much as I got back from selling my bike now...although I have been looking at air/exhaust/fueling for it so... Evil

anyway, enough with the thread jack - back to foggys.

Hello all
I have just found this page and thought I would let you know that I own No. 124, live in the UK and love the beast.
I have had Olly, thats her name, for 6 years now after swearing that after I saw my first on a trip to Belgium that I would one day own one, saw one for sale 1 month later, not in the best of condtion, but she was soon on the way back to her new home, A few months of ebay, ducati specialists all over Europe and USA she was complete, she is used regulary to and from work, holidays and trips to various Moto GPs in Europe, She is not standard, she been  modified to how I want her, no pillion foot rest, open clutch, CRT levers, and mirrors, you can make them fit, just turn a small amount off the bar end weight and fit the special CRT taper and mirror fitting and bingo job done,. I also now own a Norton 961 CR ,I have just heard that they have passed your weird emmission laws so you will soon be able to seen them on your roads, they are just a joy to ride so basic and so pretty to look at, but dont put a smile on your face like the duc.
Will post some picks of Olly for you to look at in the mean time Happy Christmas and keep save for 2013.

I live on the Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire borders and very fortunate in that I am 20 minutes from the Derbyshire
Peak District National Park , with some great roads and only 45 minutes from the Welsh border with its mountains and a very pretty coastline. I have one the best motorcycle circuits in England 20 minutes away, Oulton park, 30 miles from Donnington Park circuit, world superbike circuit, and the home of Norton Motorcycles, so I am very lucky, the only thing we are unlucky with is the crap weather you Americans people seem to get.
I put the road bikes away in winter because of the salt eats the alloy over here so I dig out my Pre 65 trials bikes and play on them through the winter, magic, covered in crap but a great big smile on most Sundays with some great people.
The bikes are a BSA B40, 350cc, and I have just finished a Sprite with a 250cc Villiers engine.
As I said previous I will post some pics soon for you all to see Olly and any of the others if requested.
All the very best wishes to all for Christmas and the New Year.

I was digging around in the basement and pulled this out of a box.  I never actually put this on, but maybe I should give it a try.  It is winter, after all...

Edit:  Just noticed those were "past"...  still, a Panigale, very nice...

Hi all,
My local dealer has a 2002 MS4 Foggy for $8,995 and only 1,360 miles.  They have had it for a few months and I'm thinking about pulling the trigger.  They said they would install new belts and I'll probably get new tires too.  Is there anything else I should ask about?  Here's the linky to the description and pics.  Thanks.
