How much do you pay?  I meet the weight requirement (sad but true).  If the money's right, I'll don a canine costume and scare away intruders...

;)

I'm sure you would look fetching.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I don't pay enough.   And you're both significantly underweight despite being overqualified in attitude and whit for the job.  Sorry.

Notice I've nicely dodged any hip joint problem jokes here.   <doh!>

our newest..... Tiffy and Taffy (don't ask me which is which.... we have so many I should make them wear those sticky " hello my name is" tags)
Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

I hear there are these devices that put marks in metal that you hang around the dogs neck

I bet you could use one to scribe letters into names and put them on the tags

maybe

You know how much time you waste on petting, scratching and in general ugling over your dog? I "work" from home so it's a lot of time. I can't help it. I loves me some stinky mutt.

Anyone have an American mastiff?   Offshoot of British mastiff.  Slightly smaller (130ish versus 160ish).  Bred for better hips.   Looking for next giant breed to replace the best st Bernard.   A pair of sisters would be great office dogs.

google "south african boerboel"

I'm obviously a pitbull guy as there are so may of them around in need of resuce, however, if I were considering a large mastiff breed, the south african boerboel would likely be my only choice. As they have been strictly bred for function and not a popular breed (yet) here in North America, they very rarely suffer the hip issues that most large breeds do. They also live alot longer than most large breeds, with 13-15 years not uncommon. I love all breeds and really love large mastiff breeds, but so many of them are no longer a very functional breed.

<snip>

So that means Emma doesn't qualify as a "real dog"?

Or did she pack on a bunch of weight lately?
