JB - love that Grace can entertain herself!  Great video  [thumbsup]
Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Here's a cute picture that even has my monster in the back ground. This picture was taken by my wife from inside our house.

Cute dog. Probably could have been a really good dog for someone. Unfortunately the guy that owned this dog is an irresponsible jack ass. You see that pitbull and another one that was scratching at our front door weren't exactly invited guests on our property. They got away from their owner who lives four doors down and decided they really wanted to come to our house. Luckily neither my wife nor my dogs were outside. I don't know if the two pitbulls were aggressive or not but I wouldn't want to find out the hard way either. My dogs are pansies.

My wife called animal control and they came and got the dogs. They told my wife that they have come to pick up those dogs from the neighborhood over half a dozen times and had received dozens of calls about them. She asked them to put the dogs in a shelter and not return them to the D-bag that owns them. Animal control contacted the owner (the dogs were tagged but not licensed) and the owner came to pick them up.

About a week later they got out AGAIN and came to our house. Again my wife called animal control. They picked up the dogs again. This time they released only one of the dogs to the owner. The other one, the one pictured above, they put down.  :-\  make the beast with two backs you Mr. Irresponsible Dog Owner.

Poor pup  :'(
But I can't see what else you or your wife could've done. Glad no one else got hurt.

That sucks Sac.

Poor guy doesn't look mean.  :-\ Pitbulls can be such nice dogs...it really pisses me off that they're the preferred dog of asshats across the country.

Agreed. I wasn't trying to second guess Sac's decision...just making an observation from the picture.   :)

The boy's had a big weekend, we had one of my friends come to visit and she brought her rescue Pekingese Brutus with her.

Fritz is a wonderful dog but has issue seeing other dogs especially on leash (we have been working with him but we think this is from being out on the streets as a puppy.)

Fritzy tried really hard the first night to be friends with him (it was just too much energy coming from him) Bogart and Jasper had no problem welcoming a new friend. The next morning we tried just letting Fritz and Brutus in the house off leash. This worked so well they were best buds (we were just thrilled) here are some pictures! (Fritz, you have come a long way puppy)  [clap]

And I couldn't resist adding this one, Bogart and Jasper playing in the back yard, Jasper is still learning to be a puppy!  ;D

We enjoy and love our puppies so much! They are worth every pound of hard work we put into them. They are pure love and joy. That is what I remember when I am away from them and when they are gone.  :)

Love Pekingese!!   :)

It was sad for me to call animal control. We had been dealing with them getting loose a lot and our neighbor had kept them for a couple of days, thinking someone would be looking for them. No one did.

They seemed to be highly aware of our boys. They had already had a confrontation on a couple of walks, where my dogs were on leash and they were not and the guys in the house had to come and grab them. (they kept leaving the front door open, really, no kidding)

It got so every time they came to our house, and they were trying to get in. I could not chance that with our boys, or myself.  I did not want an incident to set them back.

I had promised Carl I would not approach them but the one headed out to the street while I was waiting for animal control. To guys stopped their truck and hopped out and grabbed him. I gave them a leash and they tied him to the fence so he would be safe. Animal control said that it was better I was cautious and that it was not good that they kept coming to our house. (Because they had already been barking and had each others scents in negative situations.

I know there are people who have pit bulls and love them and they are great dogs, they are among the "responsible owners". This just had potential to get ugly and harmful. You have to know a situation for what it is.

Carl and I have
Fritz a Shepard mix who will be two in Jan. He is know as "Fritzy Pants the good time party boy"!
Bogart a Leonburger who will be three in Jan. our "bobo bear"
Jasper a Great Dane who will be three in Jan. our "smiley face"

We adopted them together, they are the Posto Boys!  ;D   (look on the chimby thread for our girls)  [cheeky]

I have had a Belgian Shepard Great Dane who lived till he was 16.

Growing up I was generally around large dogs and Shepherds but we did have one Pekingese that was a love!

Randimus Maximus

Since Brian's most recent vet visit, we've started him on Glucosamine/Chondroitin, fish oil, and occasional Rimadyl for pain when necessary.

We will most likely take him to see an acupuncturist as well, based on the recommendation from his orthopedic surgeon.

In any case, he got to visit/play with one of his littermates, Ike, this past Saturday.  Brian and Ike have gotten together for a little rough housing a few times since they were adopted.  A few pictures follow:
