Rover is pretty much all lungs and legs.  Sweetest disposition I've ever seen - not an ounce of aggression ever.

But if I'm reading that expression right, he's saying "Dude, don't you know there are BIRDS out here? BIRDS! Why are you standing around with that camera?  BIRDS!!!!"

You can't see his eyes spinning in the photo but you're absolutely right, he's a maniac.  Top priority on his "to do" list - "BIRDS!".  Forget about normal dog tasks like leg humping, butt sniffing, or chewing anything disgusting when there are rogue BIRDS to be found.  Amazing instincts and focus, very little training involved.  It's a thing of beauty to watch him effortlessly cover ground and then freeze into a pointing stance when he's on something.  I wish I could do my job half as well.

That's why they make crates.

Keep an eye on them to ensure they are bonding to YOU.

Sorry to hear about the woodwork, that reminds me I need to make some repairs now that we're outta that phase.
