No need to buy a pet when there are great ones in need of homes!  [thumbsup]

Great picture. That's one content and comfy dog. Glad she now has a good home and hope she adapts well. You can't have enough good animal karma in your account. [thumbsup] [clap]

I had a Daisy once. Had to put her down in 2000. It was time. She was there for comic relief. Goofy as the day was long but a real sweetheart.

Good luck with your Daisy.

Watson is all healed up, stitches are out, feeling better, neighbor has been very responsible in paying bills and working on containing pitbull.  But in the course of all the follow-up work on her we discovered she now has a heart condition. :-\

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

awww daisy is beautiful!!!

and im glad watson is doing better, minus the heart condition. but maybe it was a blessing in disguise as you can now hopefully get treatment for the heart condition...and im glad the owner is taking responsibility.

Well Watson, lets hope this was caught early.

How do you get dogs used to having kittens around?

It took time for our then puppy to learn to leave my senior gato alone. Plus, it was paramount to teach him to know she was not to be messed with because she had been fully declawed when she was young and unable to teach him herself.   [thumbsdown]

Teaching him the "leave it" command is critical.  If you don't know good training techniques, I'm sure YouTube will have more than its share.  Also, by NOT encouraging our dog to run for squirrels that he'll never catch helps.

SomeGirl is the resident expert on this (well, on many things) so hopefully she'll see this soon & offer her advice.  Maybe send her a pm.

Good luck!

We lost our Scottie Deuce back in March.  It took a while to get over losing him.  We finally felt we wanted to help a scottie in need so we adopted a 3 year old over the Thanksgiving holiday.  His name is Jacoby.  Also added a pic with him and our Westie.  They seem to get along good.  Katie does give him the occasional growl when she's had enough of him playing with her, but overall we're excited to welcome him into our home.

Those are some fantastic faces!!! Our daughter is absolutely insistent that any "next" dog has to be a Scottie.

My dog knows the "leave it" command very well. Right now she's mostly confused. The kitten we got ain't skeered, so it runs straight to the dog. Lexi is used to having squirrels and cats run away from her. This is completely new territory for all of us.
