The Official "Dogs of the DMF" Thread

I saw the cat thread.......so let's see those canines.
Meet Greta and Alex.
Alex - 2.5 year old chihuahua. He likes long walks on the beach, sleeping on couches, beds, or anything warm. He also enjoys sitting on Tiffer's lap. His passions in life are food (not dog food, human food) and his water fowl (duck and goose) stuffed toys. He also prefers males over females.
Greta - 6.5 month old Doberman. Yes, her ears are cropped and please spare me the "humanity" speech. She required no pain medicine or taping of her ears. They were cropped and stood up on their own since the procedure. She enjoys jumping on visitors and whacking them in the nuts, sleeping on the couch, stealing toys from Alex, and running up and down stairs.
They are our little children and make our lives very interesting.

Two whippets, Watson (girl, 10 years old), and Grover (boy, 11 years old). Both I adopted through rescue groups, Watson I have had since she was 5 months old, Grover since he was 3 years old.
Watson in pillow fort that someguy built:
Watson lure coursing:
Someguy and Grover:
Grover doing agility:
Grover's athletic abilities got him into trouble recently. Last month, I was on one of my many business trips. Normally the dogs stay with a friend, but she was also traveling, so they went to a kennel instead. It's a very nice kennel, and I've used them several times before. They have regular supervised playtime, with the dogs divided into separated groups, matched by personality.
Well, because of a minor health issue, they wanted to keep Grover separated from the other dogs, so they put him in his own separate area. He was upset and wanted to play, so he ended up scaling and jumping a 10-foot fence.
Landing was not so good, he broke multiple bones in both front legs and wrists (pretty much every bone there).
The kennel felt awful and rushed him to the emergency vet (they are paying all the bills). They fused his bones to plates, he will most likely be losing flexibility. He's been a good patient and healing up well.
And here we are surfing the DMF together:

Here are our two monsters.
The first is Riley, a 6 year old Border Collie, she is my frisbee dog.
The second is Kaluahu, my girls 6 year old Pit Bull. She is the most gentle soul out there. I don't trust my BC with any person younger than 8. The PB, i would trust with a new born baby.

Sioux, a rescue from the Boone area. We think she's some sort of Carolina Dog. I've had her for 2 years.
This is Bindi. I found her on the side of the road, matted, and about 20 lbs underweight. She's plumped up nicely. I think she's a beagle-shepherd mix.

We're fostering him, but after about a year now we've somehow quit looking too hard for a new home.......

Awesome thread. Of course I'm biased. This is our crazy Jake:
The day I rescued him from the shelter.
I have his rubber ball in my hand just to get him to hold still long enough to take a pic!
Very rare downtime.
