Working on a controlled introduction to the 2 cats.
Not particularly successful.
Large black cat not particularly chuffed, but OK with Abe.
Abe decides a bit of a chase might be fun.
Cat jumps into chair, Abe follows.
Cat makes a case for not sharing the chair.
Abe a bit put off by that.
Calico is currently too freaked.
Abe says hi Bailey!

Supposed to be a medium sized one.
Fingers crossed!

They're super cool. I see a few at the dog park.
A friend of mine in high school had one. It would snap at my ankles and try to herd me around the house. I was terrified of it

The chewing behavior now is not popular, can see how they're known for it.
He can run nearly as fast as I can, even now.
He'll certainly get faster, myself not so much.
So even that is likely to get very interesting quite soon.
I did not witness the cat incident, but I've seen no herding behavior.
I don't think he can jump high enough to get in the chair, but probably jumped high enough to get swatted before he fell down.
I feel like I know enough to be dangerous at this point.

Arrrggghhh. The circle of life is closing in on us over here. (Not sharing publicly but this space doesn't count.)
After a shit show the past few days with work travel, I had to basically turn right around and drive 6 hours to get home to get Boxer Brian to ER (symptoms: wobbling and falling down).
Considering the fact that this boxer's medical history is as long as Boxer Mike Tyson's rap sheet, I opted out of the MRI and we diagnosed simply based on his symptoms.
Definitely the back of the brain stem. Will treat temporarily with steroids (will be another shit show) in the attempt to help with mobility until doggy daddy Randimus can get back to Denver next week. Follow up call with the neurologist on Friday and follow up appt. in two weeks if needed.
make the beast with two backsity make the beast with two backs make the beast with two backs.
You know that circle will eventually close but it sure doesn't hurt any less.
Oh and I can still repeatedly deadlift 71 pounds without throwing out my back (yet) so there's that.
