Hi Guys & Gals
I've had my Bike now for 3yrs (Nov 05) & traveled 20,000kms so that's on average 6666.667Kms Per Year.
Had my car  for 4yrs (Oct 04) & have traveled 50,000Kms & This one is 12,500Kms Per Year.
So that a total of just 19,166.667Km per year for both for on person.

What are you guys doing in the Km per year.
Why have i posted this.
Me thinks i need to do more k's on the bike & less in the car, you know to reduce my contribution to global warming  ;)

5-7.5 for me

I too need to do more kms on the bike, maybe next year!

Betty

Probably a bit less than 5,000km pa on average, but the rate is increasing ... need to get some balance back into some other things though, so I'd say 5 is fair.

Our proper car clocks up well over 30,000km pa and I probably spend far more time on trains than any sane person. But can't go along with the saving the planet line ... running two Monsters is not as efficient as running the car (not as much noise pollution in the car either [evil]).

With so few k's pa s'pose I have another reason for riding like a girl ... well not my girl ... ah shit, you know what I mean.

The ratio is well out for me. Bike is less than 5,000 km per year. Car is 45,000 km per year. I commute by car four days a week for work, a 220 km round trip. Yeah, I know its insane. But after 12 years, over 500,000 km and 13 company cars, you kind of get used to it. Kind of...... :-\

my S2R is not even 12 months old and I've just clicked over 11000k's  ;D

I've been having the same thought for a while now about doing enough k's. My bike is nearly 12 months old and I just notched up 5700kms for the year. On the other hand the car does 33000kms p/a and only gets used for getting to and from work only. I could never use my baby to commute up and down the F3.
I guess it was good to see Nic, Mark and Ty with low numbers.

In 18 months clocked up 28,000k's.  ;D [moto]

you should commute up the old pacific hwy! Now that would be a fun way to get to work ;D

I'm commuting every week day and rearly get out on the weekend for a blast :'(

I start pretty early so there's lot of fun to be had getting to work darting in and out of traffic. [evil]

I'm sitting just over 10k pa and it's definitely more expensive than catching the train..... but at least I can get to work in 25 minutes in lieu of 1 hour so life isn't passing me by. Betty, you've got to get of the train mate it'll suck your sole dry!

What? I'll get dry feet from catching the train  [laugh]

Apparently I already exhibit a couple of vampire-like qualities, so perhaps I am already missing my soul :-\

I've got about 210,000km on the Monster and it's gonna be 10 years old on the 2nd of December, so a bit over 20,000km per year on that.

I've also done about 220,000km on the Spada which I first got a year before the Monster, so another 20,000km per year there. (well, that's split over two Spada's really, the red one got killed by a HiAce while parked, and got replaced with they yellow one, which is now looking sad out the front of work after getting mown down by a Falcon while stopped at a red light.)

I haven't owned a car for well over ten years though. I do a ~80km round trip every workday on one or the other of the bikes...

bigfella

mine's a 05 picked it up with 6 km's on the clock in june 05

might just go over 10,000 by the next service in january

maybe i don't ride enough  :-\

Big, I don't know how you can get by without a car. We only have 1 in our family but without it I'd be stuffed. There is only so many things you can do on a bike.

unless of coarse you've got a skill like this guy.

.....maybe skill is the wrong word

Apparently that is pukka protective gear for Maori riders in Un Zud. [thumbsup]

It was hard rubbish day in Kew and this Kiwi guy took a liking to the BBQ someone had turfed onto the nature strip, (According to the Melbourne Sun Herald) [moto]
He must've been wanting to suplement the river rocks in his Hungi pit with some Pakea cooking implements.  ;D

I'm lucky enough to do close to 850km per week, commutng between Bribie Island and Brisbane CBD. Good run, about third open road, third m/way, third on city roads. - Monster is almost at 90,000 km (alll mine) and has had no real dramas at all. Had a tank rust out at 40K, front wheel bearings at 75K and a gear lever return spring at 80K. Weekends, I would rather ride my my Ducati Monza around.  ;D
