i'm curious how they'll go about that with this guy:

One member was given permission to have the gang's insignia tattooed on his head for having shot two members of a rival street gang last year, the indictment alleges.

They burn it off with a blow torch like they did to that guy on "Sons of Anarchy"
They gave him a choice "Fire Or Knife?"

They had little or no regard for "other" people laws and customs, but they had a certain internal code of conduct that they operated by. They were very tribal by nature.

Um, well, yeah.

You just described what a gang is..................

No, it's real.  "Hell's Angels," Hunter S. Thompson's mandatory reading about his palling around with them during his young days in California, discusses red, brown and black, and earning wings were regular topics in the mag "Easy Riders" stories about rides and parties.

The green and purple were new to me.  (Although I helped recover the body of a dead female mountain climber -- dead 2 years -- once and some of the comments -- like "Who's got some SnoSeal" -- suggest that the subject does come up at least at altitude and after a few weeks in camp.)

I thought the "in" thing now was STI... infection, not disease.

No, the STI is a Subaru, which, much like an STD, wil probably keep one from getting laid.

I know this thread died a long time ago, but I just found that last comment while searching for something else, and felt the need to express my long overdue appreciation of it.  Grin

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.
