Hey all,

Anyone know of a decent place to get tires mounted on the cheap?  I called KJ international and they said 50 a piece if I didnt buy the tires there...sounds a little steep to me just to put some tires on but I really have no experience with this.  Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

Do they have a shop to put tires on?  I thought they were only retailers.  I'll try giving them a call.  Anyone else?

 thanks

Cycle gear will mount tires if you bring in the rims off of the bike.  They get $30 bucks a wheel if you bought them elsewhere.  I have used KC International before and they have been reasonable with me in the past.  Welcome to the forum.  I am also in San Antonio, what do you ride?

Jon - good to see you posting again.

Yes Cycle Gear will mount your tires for free if you bought them there. KC will do it for $20 if you bring the rim and tire in.

Hey Greg. Yeah I'm still around, never really left. We will have to catch a ride sometime.

Thanks!  Unfortunately I dont have the tools to take off the rim myself.  Alamo cycle plex, which is right down the road from me, is having a special for 30 bucks a tire but they said they dont have the tools and dont want to torque anything wrong.  I guess I'll just take her to KC who quoted me 50 a tire  Sad  I ride a 03 620 dark.
