so Jukie, I thought the Lammie was a way cool addition to the collection, but then you go and post a picture of the garage with the Bambino in it! One of my favourite cars....

I remember when I was 10 and visiting the relos in Italy when a 500 driving down the road burst into flames! Was one of the most awesome sights I'd seen as a kid....mother(driver) and daughter, bolted out of that car at a million miles an hour...I was amazed that this little car in the middle of the street was going up in flames and still moving...  Shocked

hope yours fairs better !  waytogo

way, way cool collection going on in your garage !

yes my little baby bambino, i have had her for over 10 years now as still goes like a champ. i usually drive her to sydney when i can on the express way (F3), she get a few smiles, and she also has to deal with the truckies  but they are normal good to her.  yes she is a rebuilt to of course, new paint  nternally and externally as you can imagine and, new front panel and a bit of cleaning, spare tyre and all good. She cost me about $800 to buy not registered and other $100 to get towed to home and off she goes.  She is my little baby. waytogo

YES YES YES

Lillie the Lammie is now officially a fully registered scooter

from this

to this

and i guess it is now time to thank everyone that was involved in this project

Thanks Dad and Bro for the help in getting parts and the many of hours working on her for me.

Thanks to Mark for letting me do this, and for letting me have bits and pieces of lillie in the studyroom, familyroom, garage. etc.

It have been a very good learn curve for me, and will make me  be able to sort out problems it need on my own.

Thanks AGAIN. waytogo [moto] Cheesy

Uh-oh ... what's going on here?

« Reply #88 on: April 11, 2009, 12:18:27 AM »

Allllrighty then.

Scoot arrived back home on Thursday, plate on, etc, etc.

.... and I just got back from its first run on the road ....  Cool [moto]

Only did about 10km just on dusk and it was quite fun - though as you would expect a bit different. Didn't have any trouble pulling my fat bum up the hills (and I am talking decent hills), certainly pulls better than the Bambino on the same hilly bits.

Alby (Jukie's Bro) suggested when we were procuring bits that the trick exhaust might limit low down torque, but when she is up to speed  Grin. Can't say it felt that different to any other scoot I had ridden off the line (but it has been a while) .... however once she was moving and up in the rev range, she didn't really want to slow down  Grin
.... even caught the traffic going up the hill  Evil

Comparisons to the Monsters (in stock form at least) that some of you might recognise:
. vibrations make the mirror absolutely useless
. seat is far from comfy ... very firm ... and did I mention the vibrations (should be good to keep the cellulite in check Lips Sealed)
. very soft in the front end ... a couple of springs off a pogo stick and a 10 inch wheel is a great combo ... oh yeah and your hands aren't spared from the vibrations

Overall its a pretty cool package  waytogo thanks and well done to Jukie's Dad  applause, Alby  bow down and of course Julie  Kiss

chug to a smooth running and trouble free future
