... and so begins the mini 696 related threadjack:
Called into North Coast V-Twins during the week and straddled my first 696, didn't get the chance to ride one but my overall feeling was that it is a chick's bike (no offence intended) - I know it has as much power as my bike, probably better brakes in a lighter package but it felt really small (even for a short arse like me). Matty's photos also show it to be shorter than the 'old-style' monster. The other thing is that it was quite uncomfortable to sit on from a blokes point of view (note again that I didn't actually ride it).
The styling has grown on me bit by bit, it will be interesting to see (
) how the 1100 feels
