I was buy/having a coffee at Morgans Coffee today (http://www.morganscoffee.com/index.html) and discussed some rides around Sydney. Arron (one of the Batista's who rides a Honda Firestorm) advised he hadn't actually done Mc Pass. So I suggested we go for a run. And as usual the more the merrier.

Morgans Coffee is having a "coffee appreciation day" on Saturday 8 Nov 08,  0800 - 1100 and may have room for a couple of extra students ($30 a pop). Aside from that, I guess I could convince Dean Morgan to spring a couple of coffees for the Duc Monster forum before heading off on a ride from Penrith via the back roads to Picton - Mt Keira - Albion Park - via Mc Pass to Robertson. Then on to Kangaroo Valley Jambaroo and back to the pie shop via the "back door".

Something like this:

All up, a nice 300 Km loop (plus whatever you need to get to Emu Plains (aka Penrith).

Depart Penrith 1130 back home before dark.

Any takers?

Soon, very soon. Maybe I should reward myself with a 848 when I get back?

Would love to mick, but I've got a BBQ to get the house sorted for the next day, so no can do.

I'm really looking forward to having a ride in the not too distant future.

So just like in Monty Python "....so something better to do then, off you go, SGT Major marching on the parade ground all by himself, left right left"

OK, despite the non attendance of "all" Monsters had a great day.

Went Penrith to the Gong via back roads and down the back of Mt Keira. Up Mc Pass for a pie but then decided, without a bunch of 4Vs, we could actually push on.

Took the back roads to Goulbourn then up Abercrombie Rd to Oberon, back roads to Lithgow (via Tarana) then down Bells!

Longest stretch between fuel was 239Km! When filling up I had, assuming 12L of usable fuel, 537ml left!

Important notes

The servo in Oberon is open till 8PM Mon - Sat and 7PM on Sunday. That's sweet but..........

Bells is now an 80Km road - with stretches of  60Km thrown in for the heck of it  Angry

Now I wonder if the Brisbane guys can actually show up for the Sunday ride (16 Nov 08) to Mt Mee???
