I have never, ever, ever seen anyone in Australia drinking Fosters (for that reason).

I've heard that from several people.  Maybe that is just the American redneck's "premium" beer.

I once shotgunned an enitre Foster's (the big oil cans).  Afterwords, I really felt like  [puke].

Someone actually voted for 'canned' so I had to lock the poll...

&%$#+@ beers have their advantages.

As someone mentioned, you can't shotgun a bottle (though that is not technically true).

You can't smash a bottle on your forehead (you can try though).

And you can't bite a hole in a bottle in order to get the beer out.

Pumpkin ale is a New England specialty.  Back in colonial days pumpkin would be added to the mash when there was a shortage of barley malt.  It has spread through the country along with the popularity of micro brews.  You can find other pumpkin ales here:

I don't want the pumpkin ale-just the Saranac  ;)

There are actually a number of craft brewers that are canning their beers now because it's better for the beer.  Beer+light=bad and cans let no light in.

That being said, whether it's a can or a bottle, you should always pour it in a glass if you can.  If not, wipe the bottle off with a cloth where the cap was.  There is going to be some spoiled beer right where the cap seals against the bottle due to the way they bottle beers to keep O2 out.

Like those specially lined cans?

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

What is that picture you posted, Bick? I can't see it.

My computer shows an image, but my brain seems to have blacked it out.

Actually, like these guys....  http://www.21st-amendment.com/

Cans actually should be lined, but the problem is that Americans have been conditioned to think only cheap crappy beers come in cans since most canned beer is cheap and crappy.  It's not the can's fault the beer is crappy.  Get busch or keystone in the bottle and it'll still suck balls.
