Roll Eyes I'm sorry some don't like the Spanish thread !   Cry  Seemed like it could be fun, if you wanted to expand your horizons and learn some moto related idioms.   Cool

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

It's hard to decide which is weirder, apologizing for the hooligans  Tongue ,  ( some of whom I'm sure are totally perhaps still unrepentant  Lips Sealed )

or apologizing to a Drunken Monkey !  laughingdp

Grin Sorry this Apology thread wound up on page 2 where no one seems to be able to find it !  Grin

Sincere apologies merit sincere forgiveness, and I think you can get a pretty accurate measure of people by looking back through this thread.  Forum stuff shouldn't be taken too seriously, but not everything is a joke !  Everyone should be held to the same standards of conduct but that is more easily said than done!  Friction is similar for knives and for people, accurately and consistently applied it sharpens, if it is inaccurate and inconsistent it dulls - frequently causing ruin!

There is often mention of the "rules of posting" which are meant to help everyone get along ( even if that is a little too sanitized and politically correct for some ).

No mention is ever made of "How to read posts" - but the 1st rule should be benefit of a doubt ! The 2nd should be don't take everything too personally!  The 3rd should be Don't start a war ( or bring in Mods ) if a PM or phone call will do!

Listen, there is a LOT of LOVE in the group as becomes obvious when the chips are down and someone is hurt, or needs help!
Why does that become obfuscated when some goofy posts put a burr under a few saddles?  People are NOT PERFECT ( even The Svoloch  cheeky ) - People say and do stupid stuff ( ie. post drunk) - People take things the wrong way and due to their point of view have different limits on acceptability of speech and conduct.

Speaking strictly for myself I must say - If you can't get along with the people in this group you probably are not trying hard enough to " fit in " .

I am always sorry when individuals get so bent out of shape, hurt, offended, censored, or double standarded that they withdraw from the Forum!  It should never come to that, or go that far, because we DO LOVE each other, love motos, & really, at the bottom line ....it's just some chat on the interwebs !  chug  [moto]  chug

I have a theory that we get along best when we are riding together because then we can't talk to each other at all !   laughingdp  [moto]

All good points Donald waytogo

Especially when the chips are down all the bs is bs and help is on the way no matter who it is.

Also, I like your theory - there is a kernel of truth there. Smiley

The Svoloch loves everyone.  If you have not been loved by the Svoloch, it's just because it is not your turn yet.

oh, and I'm sorry for the above comment ( but, you know, not really )

Indeed. Need to work on that.

Yep, guy stuff. Plowing and planting. Drinking, steak grilling, cigar smoking, west TX open country (not for old men...), gun shooting. Too bad I had to come back to DFW. Tongue
