Ben also has a sushi joint downtown called kenichi.

Stack house is one of my favorite places and honestly my absolute favorite burger of all time.

Cool. Didn't know that. I don't do sushi, but I do love good burgers! drool

Hmmm, what's a worse investment than a restaurant? Two restaurants.

Which is tougher, falling off GP bikes at speed or owning restaurants? Wink The food serving business is tough for sure. My ex-wife was in culinary school (her great cooking did not save our marriage laughingdp) and they had to take several courses on restaurant business management. Tough biz for sure. It's like a large % don't make it the first year. Heck, I've seen that happen many times right here in my own town and neighborhood.

Hope his Stackhouse burger joint survives. It's passed the magical one year mark. waytogo chug

Spies posted on Assbook: "For everyone asking about retirement. If my body can do what my mind wants it to do. Yes I would look at returning. But I can only wait. I just hope people can respect my injury was much worse than most people understand. But I'm doing my best... that's all I can do."

With Moto GP in the great state of Texas, I couldn't help but think wistfully of Elboz! Did a little search and not much about Ben pops up that gives specifics about what he's up too now. I do have a little ADD, so if it's not in the first sentence I drift off.  Grin

Besides http://elbowzracing.com/schedule/ what else is Ben doing? I know there were some serious Spies fan boys here so I'm hoping someone can give a detailed update on Benny.

He sat in for a bunch of the FP2 session with Julian Ryder and...the other guy?? on the sport1 broadcast. He was actually really good and very insightful. Said he wanted to mentor some of the young US guys and get them to the international stage.

Was just about to post this... good interview and I liked how open he was able to be with a lot of the topics.

I'd love to see him one day as a ambassador for a revamped AMA.

Maybe Ben can be convinced to buy AMA racing, get other American racing heroes like KR and Schwantz involved, and return it to its former glory….or at least as interesting as when he and Mladin were dueling chug
