Great day!  A couple guys got off, but nothing serious.  I definately reached the potential of my bike lol.  It was so much fun learning the track and slowly putting together some good laps by the end of the day.  By afternoon I pretty much had my gear selection down for each corner etc, so it was more just trying to ride smooth and consistent.  My weak spot is the entrance to rattlesnake.  I need to trail brake deeper and carry a little more speed into the entry.  I had a few other problem areas early, but Jeff showed me the line, so I seemed to get those smoothed out ok!

I ran off the track twice, but no falls... just used some rear brake and rode it out.  I'm told I need a sbk heh.  Jeff said I really can't get anything else out of my 800.  I rode the snot out of it pretty good.

All I can say is WOW!  Like I told Scott, it was definately the most exciting day I've ever had on a motorcycle.  Being able to push the bike that hard and seeing yourself progress from the first session to the last is such a pleasure.  The day left me with happiness and sadness I suppose.  Happiness knowing that I learned a lot and got better as a rider, and sadness that I've seen the potential of my bike.  Now isn't the time for me to get a sbk with so much on my plate, but hopefully as a present to myself next year after I finish my project!

I also want to thank Scott for being so generous and letting me use his trailer.  I couldn't have done it without you buddy!

Track day = good.   [thumbsup]

Great to hear you had a blast out there... I hear the 848 makes a good track bike.   By next year there should be a good number on the used market for track weapons
