2008 S4RS -Question on parts interchange w/ different year/models ....

Did some searching here, didn't hit on anything, so I'll take a chance ...
Some idiot knocked over my 08 Monster Testastretta. I got lucky, just bent the handlebars, gear-shift lever and rod (impossible to find used/cheaper replacements...), broke the clutch-lever (p/n 631.4.017.1A), and bent the left rear-footrest standoff (p/n 824.1.070.1A), scuffed the peg.
That's it.
I see stuff online for sale, but different years. Looks like an '06 S2R handlebars are the same? Hard to tell, tho ....
Wondering if anyone knows if the handle-bars, the clutch-lever, and rear footpeg standoffs have been used in other years? Man, that'd save me some $$$.
regards, and thanks for your time .....
Dinged in Denver ....

I think the bars and footpegs are the same. Not sure about the clutch lever.

Are you looking for a stock lever? Got it. You will need to transfer your pushrod but it is complete and pristine otherwise. PM me if ya want...

Hello all;
Thanks for the replies. The story, for your amusement: at work some lady backed into a parking spot, evidently couldn't be bothered to look and see if anything else was there. She hit my back tire with her 2006 Civic bumper; pushed the bike up a bit on its stand. She went back into the bldg to fetch a co-worker for advice (she let it slip she wanted to know if her bumper was dinged?) and by that time the kick-stand had gone the rest of the way, and the bike had slowly fallen. She and the co-worker picked the bike up. I came out, saw my broken bar-end mirror placed on my seat, began to notice the damage --handlebar bent, (again, I was lucky it hadn't hit the tank), shift-peg and rod bent..... rear foot-peg scuffed, looks like its stand-off deformed slightly .... Luck, lucky, lucky .. it must've been soo slow-motion.
It wasn't till I had ridden 'round the corner (it was rideable) that I saw her NOTE tucked away in the handlebar riser. Credit to the lady, she left her name/number, didn't lie and her ins. paid quicky, like the next DAY. Props to GEICO for ramping up engagement w/ her insurance ...
Weird part: The Denver shop I bought the bike from wasn't too interested in advance-purchasing any of the parts before the insurance came in. This is lame on so many levels. They KNEW I'd be fixing this, and evidently they stock NO replacement parts, like bars, levers or pegs, it all has to come from *wherever*. And at full retail. Last I heard, they hadn't yet ordered anything, some of it weeks out I was told.
I mean, that is a bit lame is it not? An engine, or a radiator, a stock muffler or other major components I could grok, but a handlebar? Brake/clutch lever? Wouldn't a shop sort of have one or two in stock, against exactly this sort of virtual certainty, that someone's gonna need one ...?
But, the delay did give me a chance to *think*. And so I stumbled on your humble forum ....
So, I'll be back here, of course. Again, thanks for the words. Now, if that guy with the 06 Monster S2R handlebars replies .... shazam, I'd be in good shape!
regards,
Eric Lecht

Welcome you came to the right place for parts advice.
Rather than buying from a dealer that does not not give crap about customers buy your parts direct and screw-em.
This outfit has a nifty on-line parts look-up for price
http://www.ducatiomaha.com/products.asp
You could look at this incident and the required replacement parts two ways.
A. Replace brand new parts with the same brand new parts
B. Replace brand new parts with BETTER brand new parts
Personally I'd go for option B, figure what can be upgraded, what you'll eventually takeoff (read passenger pegs) and leverage the insurance money.
I suspect things are cooling off in Denver and a long winter is ahead. At this point there's no big hurry to get it all sorted out. Spend some time here exploring and asking questions.
Its going to be along winter...

Sorry, forgot to mention.
1. Be sure to check your radiator carefully, those things get tweaked real easy. Inspect the mounting bracket attaching it to the frame and make sure the brackets are not twisted or warped.
2. Inspect both steering locks near the head tube for damage. Often these things are the first to get damaged from a dink over.
