Oval huh? Cool design but I'm curious how the cover comes off. There are no visible screws and seeing that they are oval that leaves out a screw top....... They have a standard round thread and the excess is machined off. I'll try to get an image posted of one with the cap off - it is easier to see than explain. They just turn and screw off like normal though.

Yeah, that makes sense. I was actually considering that as an answer to my own question. That leads me to another question though. What happens when the threads start to wear in and the cap and the body no longer line up?

Yeah, that makes sense. I was actually considering that as an answer to my own question. That leads me to another question though. What happens when the threads start to wear in and the cap and the body no longer line up? Not sure if that will be a problem... how many times are you going to take the cap on and off? To wear threads out it would have to be many many many times...

GSG Moto makes reservoirs that attach directly to the master cylinder: no hose and no clamp! Down side is that there is one (that I know of) US importer and they're >$100 each. It would be cool if STM or Rizoma or anyone made something like the GSG Moto reservoirs, especially for the Monster's rear MC (which is angled)...the reservoir is a bit of a PITA to refill.

I have one on the rear Nissin master on my Bandit. Hasn't leaked at all, but the rear master is somewhat different that the front master.

I'd imagine they will have clear anodized... they usually have red, black, silver, blue and gold.

I might try searching about this, but how do I convert the 999 masters to remote res.? The paint is coming off the covers on mine and I thought of billet covers, but would rather have something like these STM bits.
