Bikes-in-the-Bottom at Poe's Pub, 10 AM tomorrow. Bloody Mary's there or at Osborne Landing afterwards. Most of the lads rode up to Morton's for the open house and free food today. I passed.

Given the weather, turnout should be good tomorrow, so lots of interesting bikes on view for any not familiar. http://binged.it/130B8IO

I can't, gotta do mom stuff.  Fully prepped to go until the wife reminded me what day it was.

On a side note...  I headed out to redline for some warranty work and took the long way home via the ferry and 460.  I was looking to have dinner at the VA diner.  Diner was closed, no power, and I forgot how boring 460 was.  Got a ticket from trying to make it interesting  .  200+ mile ride so I'm blaming my sore ass for making me go faster.

Great day today though, currently at Lamplighter enjoying a coffee.  I think the impending storm scared off most the bikes that are usually here in the morn.

Sorry about the ticket. My son and I came back that way from the Port of Norfolk a couple of months ago. There is some well-known BBQ place on that route though I believe. Yes, booooring...

Not familiar with that coffee shop as I live in Goochland and avoid Downtown except for the monthly Poe's gathering. Houston is having his vintage, classic (mainly Jap) bike show next weekend though. Everything shows up there for a look-see. That's on 711 not far from 288 if you're interested. My son will probably be judging, so I'll go if the weather's OK. You can't miss the place as the mailbox is a motorcycle. Will get details tomorrow.

Touch wood, I've had no  difficulties riding west of here over to the BRP as long as I tip-toe through towns on Rt. 6. Maybe you should ride west more often, get a Sargent saddle..., or both.

That was your excluse last Hallmark card day too. Can't you bring her along in your lunch box?! You could tempt her with Eggs Benedict and Bloody Marys...

Here in town I can hear Harleys in the distance..., but they are about to get wet! (It was sunny briefly earlier...)

I made reservations for bunch not realizing it was the 2nd sunday.  Oh well....  There are always next month.  I'm just glad I finally got out for a good ride.  And yes, I need to ride more and much more out west.  I'm gonna send my seat in to a guy in FL who changes up the foam.  He did my ST1300 and it changed the bike.  Much cheaper than a whole new seat too.

I'll try to check out the show next weekend.  Sounds like a good time.

The Sargent is also flatter. Maybe have your guy take a look at that too. Not flat mind you, but flatt-er. Still not perfect but my candy ass can cover more miles on it with fewer breaks.

heh, I'm slow.  Plus I don't need anymore tickets.  I had a Sargent before and it was better but not good enough to make me wanna go back.  I'm gonna send mine off before I decide to throw down the cash for a whole new seat.

Checked with Houston today as he was passing out flyers. It's next Sunday from 10 to 3 PM with judging starting at noon. No reason to show before 11 AM IMO and last year it was winding down after ~ 2:30. Lots of riders I know came and went. All kinds of bikes. Not as crowded as a big day at Poe's, but lots of shade. It's on 711. I came home that way today.

rain is looking pretty crappy and the radar has it still coming right over where the show is.  I'll keep an eye on the radar.  If it clears up around 11 or so I may head out.

How's parking there?  Is it even worth going with all this sogginess?  I road by yesterday to get an idea where it was and I assume everything is in a field.

So, the radar is looking worse and worse.  I don't wanna get caught out in the storms heading in so I'm gonna pass.  Yesterday was a great day to be out though

Agreed. The weather stinks. I'll post here if there's a rain date. Next weekend looks possible at this point. The weather has been a yo-yo for the past two months.

There's enough room on the property for quite a few bikes. The show bikes go in the front yard and parking is outside the fence. Wouldn't hurt to bring a pad for your side stand though. Last year the show was in the autumn and the weather was perfect. Can't win 'em all.

Saw the sun yesterday and did my lunch loop when the local forecast put the rain off until the late PM. On Thursday it REALLY let loose here at 4 PM and I sure didn't need a storm like THAT!

A couple of roads on this loop are entertaining if you don't know them. I was on 711 myself yesterday. Only saw one State  . http://binged.it/14BtvsT Had lunch ~ 2 PM at the http://www.thecountyseat.com/ on the porch which is relaxing. When the weather breaks and you get an itch, send me a PM and I'll give you my mobil # and we can meet for lunch. If that's too boring, keep heading west to Cartersville on that road and turn south to Rt. 60 there. Makes a nice ride unless the school busses are out.

No idea what happened to Eugene. Hope he didn't move! Last weekend the weather was fine for B-in-the-B. Saw this which made me itch for my old RS version of the same bike!

Unfortunately, I was busy all weekend. It was great weather though. Will have to catch up with everyone next month.
