Have you seen the same belt covers on the 696 yet? I found an 1100S with them, psoted recently, can't wait to see a 696 with them. The exhaust routing kind of spoils it (696) but we'll see

Reviving the dead here but has anyone found who is selling these belt covers. I'm dying to have them.

Speedymoto makes them.....

Not sure if they make a set that work for the 696 though... Last time I checked they didn't.

Damn, I really want to get rid of that bulbous plastic cover and show off my baby's inner parts.

Same here...

Rizoma makes one that is absolutely outrageous in price... CNC Racing makes a cheaper and beter looking one than Rizoma, but of course, not for the 696....

If I can find a cheap used one I am going to try making one on my own... Cut out the plastic, install some plexiglass with nice blingy hardware... Just gotta find one for cheap

I had considered the same option. Commonwealth has an OEM ordering system that is the best I have ever used. If their site was not currently down I could get the price for a factory cover and buy a spare in case I really fudge up the one I have now. I was not even going to cover the area with plexiglass. Pretty much just cut out everything between the mounting points leaving the cover over the same areas that the three piece speedymoto covers are attached at.

they DO make one for the 696, not sure how it differs though, i think it just doesn't include the center piece where the exhaust goes.

..and then you're done, right?   laughingdp

Seriously though, once you see the  rizoma rearsets installed, you'll be glad you got them.  They make the bike look much sportier.
