Because they work.  How the hell do you fall for something like this?  And this woman probably mailed in a ballot this year.   :-\

Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

There was a couple here in Northern Australia that have sent a small fortune to these scams, and from the last I heard they were still sending money thinking that one day they would pay off.

Retards.

serves her make the beast with two backsing right............moron

people like that should have been strangled at birth.
If you drive the nicest car in the neighborhood, work in a cash business, and don't pay taxes, you're either a preacher or a drug dealer...

She said she wasn't an easy mark....

She kept sending them money...

"It didn't work with $100, let's send them $400k"

Brilliant!
"Listen, not a year goes by, not a year, that I don't hear about some escalator accident involving some bastard kid which could have easily been avoided had some parent - I don't care which one - but some parent conditioned him to fear and respect that escalator."

I hate to tell her, but she IS an easy mark and not terribly bright. It's sad that the American dream has come down to wanting money for nothing and people are too ignorant to realize they're not going to be rich. I feel sorry for her husband though.

It's funnier because everyone around her knew it was a scam and yet she didn't and she still says she's not an easy mark.  [roll] Some people should not be allowed to touch a computer.

pretty make the beast with two backsing stupid.

I have a friend who fell for a scam once. he was trying to sell his car, was contacted by a individual who buys cars for his clients. he sent a check for 10K more then the value of the car was told to deposit the check send 5k to one western union address and 5k to another, then they were going to contact him on how to get the car delivered..

dumb ass. its a good thing banks are smarter then him, they held the check for like 10 days to ensure the funds cleared before they allowed him access to his money, or else that moron might have wired 5K bucks to a few lucky individuals...

what a dumb ass.

Wasn't there an old saying...  "A fool and her money..."
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
