Did a search and found this
http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=2179.0
Q:
Is this correct  , I asked my dealer about brighter bulbs as I ride home at night every day , he said be careful about tweaking the headlight as the new Monsters (mine being an 08 M695)have plastic internals in the lamp housing and a brighter bulb could melt them Huh?
I read in the above forum about improving the light is the standard bulb a 60w ? and if so will sticking to that power not cause a problem but for my application will it improve my night vision.
thanks guys much appreciated if you can excuse the bad pun
"shed some light"

I fitted that to my Monster about 2 days after picking up the bike, it's a whiter light, not any brighter, just a whiter light.

yeah i had one go on me just recently, was the same one, had been in their a while though, You can get them from auto barn, they are a normal car globe, but beware, I paid bout $140 for a pack of two, there might be somewhere else you can get them cheaper? ( locally) Heaps whiter though, big improvement on night vision  waytogo
