So, I get back from underway the other day and the cover's missing from my bike sitting at the end of the pier. There's a decent cake of salt on it and I'm a bit sad. Because it was soo late, I just cab'd home. Tomorrow morning, I'm going to have to see if I can start it. She hasn't been started in 2+ months due to my schedule and just shit that's been going on.

Wish me luck tomorrow.

Good luck!

I haven't started mine in a while and we actually had some sub-zero weather up this way (which was worrysome because I have water-wetter in it and not anti-freeze).  Was very slow to start, so I rode her around and then brought her in for the winter.

However the track bike is getting together and may be my winter pregnant dog bike to scoot around on those rare sunny warm weekend rides.

Ya' might have to jump it!

She started up perfectly. Not a single problem. Warmed up quickly Sunday morning and I rode her home. Then, spent 3+ hours in the afternoon riding around. Just getting the feel for her again.

hey, anyone seen or heard from lilguns? He went MIA and I don't even know if he's still in country. Just sorta dropped off the face of the DMF...

I'm a happy man. I got my bike back from Duc Yokohama yesterday and rode her home (almost froze to death). And, rode her to work this morning. She's running smoother than ever with a new chain and the starting issue I had, resolved. Might try to put some Christmas mlies on tomorrow if the weather's nice.

This place has been dead for almost a month. There's no one left in Japan from the DMF?

You would have been in heaven if you had your bike back a little while back when we had the warm spell.

Glad you got it back and it's ready for some mileage!

He's still around.  He's over on gaijinrider.com.  He sold his Monster and picked up a motard type ride.

I saw the post.

But, there are really only 2 or 3 of us here. We had 4. But, he dropped out. And, I'm underway now. So, no riding or showing guests around.

That, and gailinriders is a much more popular spot for all folks round these parts.

Well - this does it for me. I'm gone in 3 weeks. Headed stateside for a few weeks of leave followed by some training on the E. Coast and 9+ months in Africa. It's been a pleasure. Take care of yourselves.
