He's gunna lust after the 848 until he takes it for a test ride and realises his elongated body does not like being folded up so much, and he wont be able to get used to the head down bum up seating position after the monster.
He will briefly consider other superbikes, but dismiss them as a bad choice for a daily rider.
He will still call all 4V watercooled naked bike FRIDGES and will refuse to buy one, Streetfighter included.
He will then realise that the M1100 isn't so bad afterall, especially as he will probably be the first Oz Monster M1100 modder and will love the attention laveshed upon him while he does his magic on turning it into a real looker.

So M1100 it is then. When you've done your helmet shopping start talking to your fav Ducati sales person. But then Dos the Spider might not be the first person on the M1100.

Howdy All. Thinking outside the square here.... What about a Multistrada 1000DS Legroom yes, some fairing yes, 20litre tank, more upright position. Just have to do something about the headlight area. How many carbon bling Stradas are out there??? Cheers. Madalf.

Just another little teaser. I did have a snap of wicked looking Mutli-noodle. I'll have to go to see him again and shoot another pic for y'all. In the mean time.

yeah, an s2r1000 could be a goer - engine that I love - does that mean i have to research what year to buy, isn't there one with a senso which makes the engine chug - and they can't PCIII it? Don't the yanks have an entire eighty page thread on it? Brendan, I sat on a 748 and felt very comfortable - I'd like to take one for a spin. Matty: is that your impression of the 848s? I think the money for a 1100s will be the issue - suspect it will be 848 money - $22k and rising. I could LEARN TO LOVE THE FRIDGE.

No just wanted to see it with gold wheels and matching gold decals. I'm hoping the M1100s won't be over $20k RRP, they couldn't position it too close to Hyper or Multi-noodle S models. It would have to kept a volume selling price one would think or hope.

the 06 model is the one you can take the o2 censor of without the ecu light coming on ,the bike just goes into open loop but if you leave it on ill show you a cool trick that will give you more power stronger torque lower down for stuff all , have a look here http://www.guzzi.com.au/performance//

no one's going to steal a multistrada.
get a photo of your old monster blown up and made into a big cardboard cut out and put it in the lounge, etc. then buy a grungy multi and ride it.
ime shorter riders find the superbike models much comfier over long time frames than taller riders. but then again i'm not sure how unsually tall riders find them.
you can get the 5.9m ecu reflashed now from a couple of sources, so getting a s2r1000 ecu (or another off ebay one) turned into a dp is easy and much cheaper. aside from that it's just a m1000 with a sss.
s4r and s4rs i think are a bit silly really. they're just so fast and so eager to wheely that they kind of annoy me when you don't want to ride like that. any decent acceleration on a good s4rs in second gear will see it almost vertical with throttle only. very cool sometimes, but not all the time. the 2v motor is just not that eager.
how about a 600 with a 750 motor?
