A bit of cardboard stuck in the spokes, then you can use earplugs.

No. It would be mandatory for the riders to all scream out 'Brum, Brum, Brum. BRAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMM, BRAAAAAAHHHHHHHMMMMMMM, BRAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHMMMMMM, BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMM, BRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmm, nananananananana. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM etc etc.  Grin

True I'm a sparky too and used to work at a power station and if you've ever seen the rate that the coal goes into the furnaces (about 10 kg per second!) you'd realise also that electricity is not the way to go until we get serious about solar.
