OooH!  I've got one of those!  (and a smaller 16-inch wheel version for riding in the house too!)

The best balance tool you'll ever own!

*And to stay on topic, CONGRATS RON!!!   waytogo
How do you like it? (I know... stupid question  Grin )

Outstanding! Well done... and hey, it's even in the fastest color!! laughingdp Been waiting for someone to step up to the bar and get an 1198. Will be very interested to see if you can tell a lot of difference from the 1098S you had. You sometimes can only take what the magazine guys say with a grain of salt. Is it wonderful because they told you to say that? Is because of all their advertising $$$ in these tough times? Or is it really that good/better?

I damn sure can tell you one thing about it for a fact. From just looking at two pictures of it I can already tell you it's too damn quiet!! bang head applause

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

My 1098 had the full Termi exhaust, ECU, and PC-III.  The 1198 still has much better low end and mid-range torque. Front end comes up without even trying. Getting on the highway from the entrance ramp, I gassed it to change lanes and pass a slow dude and the front popped up. I hear a 14 tooth sprocket is fun on a 1098, but I won't do that anytime soon on this.  Haven't done any twisties yet, so no comparison on that yet, or any traction control feedback.  Don't know that I'll get much TC engagement on the street anyway.

The sound is really good with stock exhaust.  Has nice high performance cam noises and a little lean popping on deceleration.  A nice roar at speed but kinda quiet closer to idle.  Can't wait to get a good exhaust on it though so I can really hear it!

I have a feeling you will like that scooter. I would certainly like to think it would have a little more poke in the midrange than the 1098. That is the whole point of making it an 1198 right? Grin I have some Acme bricks we could zip tie to the forks if you think that would help with the light front end. waytogo Just trying to help.

Just feel sorry for the soon to be neglected CBR. Sad... Cry
