How many migrated from the old board??
«

Was having lunch today with a fellow Dallas/Ft.Worth DMFer and the subject was brought up regarding how many on this board got erked at the new owner's format of the old board and headed over here? Just curious and thought it might be interesting to ask.
The D/FW group is about 50% from the old board and 50% new folks who never even knew of the old board. The group has grown in leaps and bounds this last year. The D/FW club on the old board is a ghost town. Check it out and notice the dates on the threads and posts. I have gone back once or twice and found new folks and steered them this way.
Anyway, post up if you came from the old board and if you are still/if ever active on it. Just wondering.
Thanks,
fastwin

I think I was on TOB, but I can't remember.

There is no TOB. These are not the droids you are looking for.

If my memory serves me right (seldom does) the member count was explosive here up to ABOUT half of what it is today. I guess that was the migration period, at least for the most active members?
So, the answer would/could be 1,500 - 2,000 migrated members - my guess
If all of them follow your invitation to post here, I will sincerely regret posting in this thread - a lot of "replies" to follow

I first signed up on the other board (it ranks higher on Google) but I quickly realized that everybody was here.
I never understood what happened though. Anybody care to explain the history?

Before my time, but didn't the 'old' board get bought up by some class A jerks, and everyone fled?

I started on TOB when I first got the Duc. Then all the folks i liked reading from started jumping ship, i got the lowdown, and now I'm the most popular guy here!
