Hey guys, has anyone heard about this?

http://www.forumshawaii.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=400251

Seems like there was chatter about a possible track opening up Ewa way...

read an article in the paper a few weeks ago... seems the parties involved w/the lease and ctrl over the site are at odds. and that thd hasn't seen a post since 4/10... besides, having a 1/8 mi. strip would not bring any support from the drag racers.

I wouldn't hold my breathe, nor have I since they closed HRP.

Not really holding it, but just kind of hoping...

Bye the way, got me some Rogue Mocha Porter a few minutes ago.

Isn't it odd how all of our threads seem to digress to alcohol?  Wink

Track talk? It could take forever, if ever, to get one going out here. We either have to make that Haleakala run or........... get this ........... a bunch of us go to a riding school together on the mainland.  Eddie Spencer or Jamie James. How's that?

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

SWEET!!!!!  Do you have to ship your bike out to these?  That would get pricey!

Hey man, if you had to shit your bike there it would not only be pricey but pretty damned painful too.  laughingdp

Nope. They are still pricey though if you're renting most of the stuff.  $2,500.00 or so.  Some schools like Penguin are far less expensive (you can ride Ducati ss900's there) but it's way up in New Hampshire. At Spencer's school you ride new 600rr's. Someone told me Jamie James runs R6's.

Thanks for that.  ASS  Wink

I think Spencer's sounds better to me.  If I am going to cheat on either of my bikes then it should at least be with a bike made from the same company as my car.  Wink

Oof.  Speaking from a purely "My wife has a chain attached to my nuts" point of view, how much cheaper is the New Hampshire school?

Way cheaper. I think $700.00 or thereabouts would cover the 2 day school, the SS900, and insurance. It runs at Louden International Raceway. Might be the best deal overall but you just have to travel the extra distance. Plus you have to reserve the bikes way in advance.
