Anyone see this setup before?
http://www.ducati.ms/forums/showthread.php?t=40020
Looks like it might work as is on a Monster with the stock triple which has the lower fork holes and higher center hole (people have just cut off the handle bar clamps).  I would think it wouldn't be hard to get the fork clamp with a flat bottom if you have a straight SpeedyMoto triple like I do.

My only problem is I already lowered my front end a little when I upgraded the triple and my forks are flush with the SpeedyMoto triple.

I finally see a set up I like with clip-ons and I have to upgrade my forks to make it work? I can barely swing the price of the damper.

Why did you have to do that?
What year & model of Monster?

I have a 2002 750s ie
On the stock triple the 2 fork holes are lower than the center hole. So if you were looking at it from the front without the headlight on the center is the high point and it bends down to meet the forks on the left and right.

The SpeedyMoto triple is completely straight so once seated on the neck (the center hole) it does not drop own on each side to meet the forks. The forks did reach up into the triple but were just a little less than a quarter of an inch short of being flush with the top of the triple.

Does that make sense?

That's really cool, I'd like to find a good top-mount damper + clip-ons setup that will work for my S2R

You guys are acting like there are no options for top mount dampers with clip ons.

I have had them on my last two Monsters.

Here's my old bike which I sold to DMF member Yuu. It's a 2000 M900Sie. I just made a bracket to mount on top of the gauge pod mounting point. I also had to modify some of the supplied hardware that came with the damper. The kit is designed for the Monster S4.

Here is a my current bike an 07 S2R1K. The bought the kit for the S4 here as well but the install was much easier. All I had to do was drill and tap the Cycle Cat top triple and bolt it right on.

AHAAA I KNEW IT. you do have bolts for the end of your bars on teh clip on side...

sorry, no good information here. I just coulnt believe that Cycle cat would thread the bars and not supply bolts for them.
