you are not going crazy (at least not from your statement below) ... every year, this show gets weaker and weaker ... and i have been attending since 2000.

if you want maximum coolness, you have to attend the eicma show in milan in november .... now THATS a bike show.

ciao, johnc

I ended up asking some dude in a dark brown leather motorcycle jacket, white shirt, jeans and dress shoes for directions at the IMS.  Turns out he is the PR guy for the Show.  So I asked him if he rides to which he replied yes.  I then asked him if he rode to the Show in the dress shoes he was wearing to which he replied "Yes."  My next  question just killed his prior two responses...I asked him what he rides to which he responded that he just passed his MSF and might buy a Kawi Ninja... So some dude that lied about riding there is organizing the show...awesome!    applause popcorn

I agree, I think that the show was a bit dissapointing compared to years passed.

Thanks guys, now I don't feel quite so bad that we missed it being home sick. coffee

HUGE, disappointment. If it wasn't for the Streetfighter the RSD 696 and the new Monsters(somewhat) it would have been a total bust for me. The first time I really wanted to take a better look at (flame suit on) a VRod, HD doesn't even show!!  vomit  vomit

EDIT: I have some hi-res pics of the Streetfighter and RSD 696 if someone wants em...OH and some of the 2 customs that were roped off in the next building...

I mostly just saw Mattb's and Pierre's legs since I was on my BB the whole time... Grin Roll Eyes

No doubt -- surprised you didn't miss it sooner after Susan stowed it for you...

I was there with some friends Saturday afternoon. And I agree that it wasn't the greatest show. But I was happy to discover that I can actually put both feet on the ground while sitting on quite a few of the new models. In previous years that hasn't been the case. I saw only one bike that I came even close to liking as much as my Monster, though.
