you should find some of that DoD black paint they use for the Stealth fighters.

something like 90% non reflective and has some kind of teflon/whoosatwatsis that makes the surface slippery.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

And since it's DoD paint - I'll bet it is only 11ty billion $$ a quart (or less) ;D
Desmosedici - it's the new Paso (except the bodywork doesn't fit as well)

i saw some on Fleabay for $200 for a quart.  I am pretty sure it was for real.  It is not classified or anything (anymore at least).

Its commonly called iron ball paint, it has tiny iron molecules in it which confuse radar.

Don't they also have a paint that cuts way down on the radar "reflection"

Somebody supposed painted a Porsche (930 Turbo) with it in the late 70's - It was a light gray color IIRC
Desmosedici - it's the new Paso (except the bodywork doesn't fit as well)

AFAIK, most of the 'radar' is now laser, so not much love from the stealth paint.  [bang]

depends on your jurisdiction.  around here only the motorcycle cops have LIDAR, all the cars have XK/K radar with RDD.

but a non reflective paint could cut down on the LIDAR reflection.  or even diffuse it entirely, but someone smarter should speak to that.

Just that pesky headlight reflector will make sure the laser/radar/lidar/trunk monkey still sees you.

Am I the only one that watches Mythbusters?

You can't beat radar / lidar / foobar / whodar with just fancy / flat black paint (or with chaff, aluminum hubcaps, fancy paint, etc. etc)

On the flip side: studies show cops ticket red vehicles more than any other color.

Also studies show having boobies helps avoid tickets too.

So BP, the paint's awesome. Just get a set of implants and you're all set  [thumbsup]
I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...

i am inclined to believe that, but i would like to see them use the iron ball paint from the stealth planes..

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
