If you can get it to (or near) Memphis before January 3, I can trailer it as far as the bay area for you.  I'm home for the holidays, but am headed back out there to start a job in January.  Uhauls from Memphis to the west coast are cheap.  It's the other direction that's pricey.  I am a travel nurse, and I haul my bikes all over the creation when starting a new job.  If nobody could pick it up right away or meet me, you'd wanna talk somebody with a garage into storing it for you, though.  I'll be living in an apartment, and even though I keep mine under cover and chain, I'd hate to be responsible for somebody else's bike.

Hey Nitewaif, I appreciate it. Silentbob has offered to take the bike from Georgia to San Diego for me.  [thumbsup]

The DMFers are really great. Thank you all!!!

Great! I'm glad it's working out for you.  If you end up needing somebody to ride it to Portland from the bay area, lemme know.  Any excuse to get up there for some Hot Lips pizza and VooDoo donuts.  I heart Portland.

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

I think somegirl already has dibs, but you can come up with us-I'm going to ride with her so she has a way home  :)
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Where are you in your moving effort Jbubble?

Well, I'm assessing how much crap I have. In reality, its all clothing and shoes as I don't own any furniture or electronics other than a laptop, cell phone, and iPod. I'm trying to figure out what I should go ahead and ship out there via UPS and what I can shove into my car.

Also doing the paperwork for my job. I'll keep the one I have but I have to fill out some stuff regarding working remotely.

If you drive the nicest car in the neighborhood, work in a cash business, and don't pay taxes, you're either a preacher or a drug dealer...

Ahhh.

And it would make for some hilarity to drag Mother around a mall again buying new stuff.  [laugh]

If you have books and CDs you want to ship, I think you can get a decent deal with the book rate from the post office.

QuoteMedia Mailâ,,¢
Small and large packages and thick envelopes can be sent using Media Mail. Contents are limited to books, manuscripts, sound recordings, recorded videotapes, and computer-readable media (not blank). Informally called "Book Rate," Media Mail cannot contain advertising, except eligible books may contain incidental announcements of books. Media Mail is usually less expensive than Parcel Post.
