This bike took *forever* to get.

I almost bought a new one ($11.5 +tx) and shopped a second dealer closer to home.  They didn't have one, but told me to go to a nearby Honda/CanAm dealer because they just took one in on trade.  The owner had it 2 months, bought new.

I scored it for $8300 +tx!  Me = ecstatic.  It had 496 miles on it when I took delivery 2 weeks ago.

However, it took 3 and half months for them to get the title sorted with GE Money (who lost it)

All I could do was wait.  I sold my 675 in the meantime and had nothing to ride :(  And now that I finally have this thing, the snow is here to stay :(

8 months ago I demo'd a SM-R and a Hypermotard (great bike btw)  The KTM got the nod, it was just better for me even though it lacks a dry clutch.  It pulls like a freight train in any gear and stops like I dropped an anchor.

Radial brakes with radial master, fully adjustable forks, ultra adjustable shock with high and low speed adjustment!  Hard to believe it's all stock.

The only thing I find odd is that KTM went with carbs.  It's a 2007, but still.  But on the other side of that. . . I have heard some *great* stories of FCR Flatslide conversions on these [evil]

It's made to be dropped. Get some knobbies on it and get out there!

Nice looking bike btw.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Thanks man!

No knobbies for me. . .

that'd be the Super Enduro.  Knobbies, wire spoke wheels about the only difference to the SM-R

None for me though.  Not to say this won't end up in the woods. .

I just don't know how far into the woods Ill get ;D

Congrats, great bike.  One of the best handling by any standard.  Take those mufflers off and you'll want to pitch em out in the snow.  They must weigh 20 lbs. each.  The Ti Akrapovic cans are featherweight and sound great with the db killers out.

Here a how to guide on to SAS & Canister Removal with great pics.
