Some suggestions from a (non-member) friend of mine:
1) The home page title bar should say "Ducati Forum - The Ducati Monster Forum" or something very similar. The <title> is very important for search terms. The most common string even a new Monster owner would search for is probably "ducati forum" instead of "ducati monster forum," but both are covered in the title with this suggestion.
2) Both the meta description and the first paragraph in the body should say something like:
"The Ducati Monster Forum is an active community of Ducati enthusiasts. In addition to sharing helpful tech and riding information, we have many local groups of Monster owners and fans who ride and socialize together. See the complete list of forums here."
3) Ask other motorcycle sites to link to the DMF.
Yeah, we've got lots of plans SEO-wise don't worry. Also, I co-authored a chapter for Friends of Ed publishing on SEO, so I know all the little tricks. There's lots of cool stuff we can do and will be doing, but we're growing so fast already, it's not super high priority just yet. We want to take care of the members we have (by fixing/improving the site(, then we'll get the new ones
