Always makes me think of English Speedway racing. Awesome stuff. Anyone else remember blond California surfer boy Bruce Penhall winning the 1981 Speedway World Championship at Wembley Stadium in London? Huge accomplishment! Parlayed that success into a steady gig on CHIPS TV show after he "retired" in 1982 after winning the title for a second time. Married some cute Hollywood babe but can't remember her name... wasn't she on Little House on the Prairie? Wonder what he's up to these days... probably still spinning in circles! [laugh]

unfortunately, I can remember that.  I try to forget CHIPS, but I had alot of friends into flat track racing back then...
