Easy N00b question: can I use a 10mm Tourmaster disk lock on my 696?

My new 696 is at my bro's house and I didn't measure the access before driving home. I found nothing in the manual on this spec., but I did find a Duc brand alarm that said it was 10mm and worked on ALL bikes...but, hey, I thought I'd double check since when I bring the bike to Manhattan, I surely want it locked from day 1!   waytogo

Looking longingly forward to my first rides soon!

I have two disc locks, I didn't look at the size, but they both work, one is the Ducati one, the other one has an audio alarm  too, but the chain lock is the best, but its a pregnant dog to carry, must weigh 25pounds, never moved an inch!!

Should work, luck, hows the ride???
Its snowing here again, wish it would stop!

I did not know Tourmaster makes disc locks

Any 10mm locking pin will fit on a 696 brake disc. The question is will the depth of the mouth of the lock allow it's locking pin to reach a big enough hole to fit. From the look of it I think the Tourmaster have a long enough general depth to reach most disc on the market but still not 100% sure if it will reach for the 696. Hopefully someone here who do use one can confirm.

I'm not an affiliate of Xena but you can download their lock fitter, print it out and check your disc profile with it to see if a 10mm or another fits.

refer to the xd10 and the xn10 for 10mm

I got the XN15 because it fits both front and back disc for my 696

Enjoy
